Engage International School - formerly Colegio San Luis Gonzaga - is a school with sixty years of history in Majadahonda, north-west of Madrid, and on the results of the Spanish university entrance examination, the PAU, it stands among the top five schools in the Community of Madrid. Its model is bilingual and built on the CLIL methodology: the curriculum is British in the Early Years, moves to a 50-50 English and Spanish model in the primary stage, and in secondary most subjects are taught in Spanish while English is carried by lessons, preparation for Cambridge examinations and public speaking. French begins in Year 1 of primary, about two hours a week, is compulsory to Year 6 and optional thereafter. From the second year of secondary pupils may take the Dual Programme - a self-directed online curriculum that awards an American High School Diploma alongside the Spanish Bachillerato. The campus covers twelve thousand square metres in the town centre: a library, laboratories, specialised classrooms for IT, visual and performing arts and technology, an exhibition hall, a music room with soundproofed rehearsal booths, PC and Mac classrooms, a green screen, a virtual driving simulator, recording studios, a virtual reality classroom and a maker space with 3D printers. PAU results: a 100 per cent pass rate, an average entrance mark of 8.20 and a highest mark of 13.829. Since 2024 the school has been part of the Dukes Education group. The school supports children recently arrived in Madrid with a separate language programme; it has a nurse, psychologists and a safeguarding team, and in summer there is an English camp.

About the fees The school publishes its fees as monthly amounts and does not say over how many payments a year they are spread; paying for the ten months of the school year, the year comes to between 3120 euros for a shortened day in the nursery and 7950 euros in the bachillerato, before other school costs. The monthly amounts: Prenursery 0, 1 and 2, from birth to two years, are 551 EUR for a full day, 353 for a half day and 312 for a reduced day; Nursery, Reception and Year 1, from three to six, are 623 EUR; Year 1 of primary is 704 EUR; Years 2 and 3 are 704 EUR; Years 4 to 6 are 710 EUR; Years 1 and 2 of secondary are 763 EUR; Years 3 and 4 are 770 EUR; and 16 to 18 is 795 EUR. On top of the fee come other school-related costs - 60 EUR a month in Nursery, Reception and Year 1, and 66 EUR from Year 2 of primary onwards - which the school explains cover printed and digital books, educational and management platforms, educational and technological resources, digital fees, cultural outings during school hours, school insurance, sports equipment and art and music materials. The full list of fees and the meal plan are posted as a separate file.
Admissions The school admits foreign pupils: for international pupils and children recently arrived in Madrid it has a flexible language support programme that helps them move into the regular class as soon as possible. Admission is open all year, and a pupil can join at any time, though the school advises reserving a place in advance. The steps: an information request, a school visit or virtual tour, an online application with documents and an application fee, then, depending on the child's age, an admission assessment or a family interview, a decision by the admissions team sent by email, and enrolment - after the interview, passed assessments, a signed form and payment of the enrolment fee; when a class is full a waiting list is opened. The school names no special language or document requirements for foreigners.
Stages and year groups Grades Prenursery (from birth) - Bachillerato year 2 (17-18). The stages run right through: Prenursery 0, 1 and 2 from birth to two, Early Years, primary, secondary, and the Bachillerato from sixteen to eighteen with science and social science pathways. The Early Years curriculum is British, primary follows a 50-50 CLIL model, and in secondary most subjects are taught in Spanish. From the second year of secondary pupils may take the Dual Programme with an American High School Diploma.

CambridgeCambridge International Education
Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. Which stages - from the early years programme for three-year-olds up to A-Level - this school is approved for is not stated here.

The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation. We show it because a parent needs to know what programme their child is taught and what certificate the child will get. Counting it would lift the whole ranking at once and still tell nobody apart.
Dukes Educationschool network
Dukes Education is a British private education group founded by Aatif Hassan in 2015. It describes itself as a family of nurseries, schools and colleges in the UK and Europe; besides schools, the group runs summer schools, day camps and university application consultancies. The group does not give a total number of schools on its pages; its Europe section lists schools in Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Switzerland, and its menu also has a North America section. In Spain the group lists 6 schools: Engage International School (Majadahonda, Madrid), International English School of Castellón, English School of Asturias, Colegio Inglés Zaragoza, Elian's British School of La Nucía and Colegio Internacional de Valladolid. The group's site is dukeseducation.com.
What this means for this school. The network owns or operates the school. Its accreditation and programme authorisation the school obtains separately, in its own name.
Exams and destinations from the school's official website
Exam results The school publishes its results in the Spanish university entrance examination (PAU) itself: a 100 per cent pass rate, an average mark of 8.20 and a top mark of 13.829; on its home page it writes that it is among the top 5 schools for PAU 2026 results. All pupils prepare for the Cambridge English examinations and take them at the school, up to C1 and C2.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
