The Liceo Scientifico Statale "Albert Einstein" in Teramo was founded in 1945 and since 1966 has been in the building on Via Luigi Sturzo; it is now part of the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore "Einstein-Grue". There are 1065 students from the city and the inland areas of the province. The liceo runs several liceo scientifico tracks: standard, opzione scienze applicate, sports, a biology course with a biomedical focus, a robotics and artificial intelligence course, a bilingual course with French or Spanish and English with native speakers, and the Cambridge Upper Secondary course: for six years British syllabuses, textbooks and IGCSE exams in English as a second language, geography, biology and physics have been added to the Italian curriculum. Teaching is in Italian, with Cambridge subjects in English with native speakers. The school is a Cambridge exam centre and a Gold Cambridge English preparation centre.
