JESS Arabian Ranches is the second campus of the Jumeirah English Speaking School, opened in 2005 on what was then the very edge of Dubai, on Wadi Al Safa 6 Street. Unlike the Jumeirah campus, this one holds both a primary and a secondary school, so a pupil goes from the early years to Year 13 without moving. JESS itself began in 1975 with seventeen children in an apartment building near the Deira Clock Tower; today it has two campuses, three schools and more than 2,300 pupils. Fees are charged in four blocks - early years, primary, secondary and Sixth Form - and this is one of the most expensive schedules in this set. The school has a counselling service of its own: it stands as a separate page in the school life section alongside wellbeing and inclusion.

About the fees The annual fee is charged in blocks: 54,129 dirhams in Foundation 1, 65,097 from Foundation 2 to Year 6, 91,923 from Year 7 to Year 11 and 104,544 in Years 12 and 13. It is paid in three termly instalments. On top of the fee there is a one-off non-refundable application fee of 500 dirhams. The school also operates debentures - instruments that carry a right to a place.
Stages and year groups Grades Foundation 1 from age 3 - Year 13. This campus holds both a primary and a secondary school, so the stages run straight through: Foundation 1 and 2, the primary school to Year 6, the secondary school from Year 7 to Year 11 and the Sixth Form in Years 12 and 13.
