Newlands School stands in Al Warqa'a 1 and belongs to the Beaconhouse MENA group. About the fees The annual fee: 21,372 dirhams in FS1 and FS2, 26,047 from Year 1 to Year 4, 29,387 in Years 5 and 6, 32,058 in Years 7 and 8, 35,397 from Year 9 to Year 11 and 40,072 in Years 12 and 13. It is paid in three termly instalments due by 22 August, 22 December and 22 March. On top of the fee the school charges for books, stationery, learning resources and assessment: 565 dirhams in the early years, 963 from Year 1 to Year 6, 1,075 from Year 7 to Year 9, 1,133 in Years 10 and 11 and 1,305 in Years 12 and 13.
Stages and year groups Grades FS1 from age 3 - Year 13. The stages run straight through: the early years under the EYFS framework, the primary school as Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6), then the secondary and senior stages to Year 13.

Beaconhouse is a school group of Pakistani origin; its site beaconhouse.net dates its start to 1975: «Established in November 1975 as the Les Anges Montessori Academy with 19 toddlers», «began as a small nursery in a private house in Lahore in 1975». Numbers and countries disagree inside that site: the About us page gives «400,000+ students across six countries», while the Group Profile page says «over 311,000 students studying in eight countries»; the country list on the homepage («the Malaysia, the Philippines, Pakistan, the UAE, Oman, and Thailand») differs from the one on the regional site beaconhousemena.com, «established in the UK, Malaysia, the Philippines, Pakistan, the UAE, Oman, Belgium and Thailand». The Middle East arm lives on beaconhousemena.com and lists five schools: Newlands School in Dubai, Beaconhouse School System Al Ain, Beaconhouse Al Khaleej in Sharjah, and two sites in Oman - Al Khuwair and Qurum. The group has more than one name on its own pages: Group Profile writes «The Beaconhouse Group», the regional site is headed «The Beaconhouse School System», and the name «Beaconhouse Education Group» comes from the schools' own prose. The group calls its arms «distinct and independent divisions»; whether it owns or manages the schools no page says.
