A state social sciences high school in Ankara, in the Umitkoy district. It was founded in 2004 as one of a then new kind of school, the Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi or social sciences high school. Its founding regulation sets it five aims: to be a source of highly qualified scholars in literature and the social sciences; to prepare students with high ability and interest in those fields for higher education; to bring students' Turkish and foreign languages to a level at which they can follow scientific, cultural and technological developments; to awaken in students feelings held in common with past generations and with their contemporaries; and to raise people able to understand and interpret Turkey's artistic and cultural heritage and to produce new knowledge. The school states its mission briefly: to raise a generation living with an awareness of a multicultural society, for the sake of peace in the world. The school runs the IB Diploma Programme, belongs to the FIT class of the PASCH network and takes part in Erasmus and eTwinning. Heating is central; the school is fifteen kilometres from Kizilay, and it sets out itself which bus and which metro station to use to reach it.

About the fees The school is a state school in the meb.k12.tr zone, and its site announces no tuition fee at all: there is no fee table and no fees section on it, and value added tax is not mentioned. The only payment details the school gives are the bank account of its parents' association.

The school day starts at 08:45 and ends at 16:00.
