Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.

What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation. Schools held by Başkent University in Ankara: the university lists them itself, on a separate page of subsidiary organisations ("Yan Kuruluşlar"), and there are three school institutions in that list - Ayşeabla Okulları in Ankara, Özel Başkent Okulları in Adana and Özel Başkent Okulları in İskenderun. The university itself was established by law on 13 January 1994, and it was not created from nothing: the decision on it was taken in the middle of 1993 together with Haberal Eğitim Vakfı, the foundation of Mehmet Haberal set up in 1986. The university did not found the schools but took them into itself already working, and it names both dates itself: Ayşeabla in Ankara, opened in 1946, entered the university in 1999; the Adana school opened in 1995 as Özel Gönen Okulları, entered the university on 10 November 2000 and received its present name on 12 August 2002. Each school runs the full cycle from kindergarten to high school, and at the high school stage holds two institutions - an Anatolian high school and a science high school. The university describes these schools as a link in a chain of its own from the pre-school stage to the university.
