Beaconhouse Yamsaard International School

Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Beaconhouse School System: the school arm of the Pakistani group Beaconhouse. The group counts from November 1975, when Les Anges Montessori Academy opened in Lahore for nineteen children; the founder and chair is Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri. The website names no single legal entity above the group: it names a corporate office in Lahore and regional companies in Dubai and Malaysia. The group publishes a number of schools nowhere, and the pupil numbers inside its own websites diverge: "400,000+ in six countries" on beaconhouse.net, "more than 315,000 in eight countries" on the Malaysian website, "more than 260,000 in nine countries" on the Thai one. In Malaysia the website names 12 schools, in Thailand more than 3,800 pupils on four sites. The schools under the Beaconhouse name the group runs itself and calls them its own divisions; its franchise is set apart under a separate brand, The Educators, where the partners are called associates and pay an entry fee and royalties, and there are "more than 1000" such schools in 275 cities of Pakistan by its own website against "more than 600" in 200 cities by the website of the group. The Thai Beaconhouse Yamsaard schools are schools of the network and not licensees: the Yamsaard group of 1984, by its history page, merged with Beaconhouse in 2014.
