A school of the Sisters of Christian Charity in Buenos Aires, on Juncal street: its first school day was 5 April 1905, it received state recognition in 1909, and it opened its first liceo class in 1942. The pupils are girls, and since 2001 the school has kept a compulsory double sessi: subjects in Spanish in the morning, English four times a week and sport once a week in the afterno. English is taken as far as the Cambridge exams: pupils sit both the language PET, FCE and CAE and the subject IGCSE - English as a First Language, history, environmental management, literature, computer science, mathematics and Spanish as a First Language. The third language is French, and the DELF A1 and A2 exams are sat at the Alliance Française. The youngest group starts at one year, then come the kindergarten up to five years, the primary school and the bachillerato. Sport is moved out to a separate ground, where hockey, handball and volleyball are played and teams appear in inter-school tournaments; in the afternoon the kindergarten and the primary school run optional studios - mini-sport, robotics and programming, art, science and cookery. The school does not state its fees on its website, nor its number of pupils and its teaching staff; of the payments, only the canteen - a single-day voucher or a monthly pass - and the compulsory uniform are named. About the fees The school does not publish its fees on its website: it has no section on fees. Of the financial terms, only the canteen is named - a single-day voucher or a monthly pass; everything about the running of the buffet and the canteen, about prices and menus, the school tells parents directly.
Admissions Admission starts with a form: "Si querés conocer más sobre nuestro Proyecto Educativo, podés ingresar tus datos y te contactaremos a la brevedad. Ficha de Admisiones", and a medical form is required separately - "Ficha de Salud". The uniform is compulsory and described in detail: a blue knee-length pinafore dress, a white blouse, a cardigan with the embroidered crest, brown leather shoes. The school names no entrance tests.
Stages and year groups Grades Sala de 1 - 5º año del Secundario. The kindergarten stages are set out by the hour: "Sala de 1 de 9 a 12.15 Jornada simple. Sala de 2 de 9 a 12.15 Jornada simple. Sala de 3 de 9 a 12.25 Talleres opcionales todas las tardes (de 13.30 a 16). Sala de 4 de 9 a 12.20 Talleres opcionales todas las tardes. Sala de 5 de 9 a 12.15 Inglés obligatorio los lunes, miércoles y jueves". From the fifth group the double session is compulsory three times a week. In the primary school the double session is compulsory in full: "En el turno mañana (de 8 a 12.30hs)... En el turno tarde (de 13.45 a 16.20hs) tienen inglés cuatro veces por semana y deporte una vez por semana". The secondary school: "Durante la mañana (de 7.50 a 13.15hs) se cursan todas las materias correspondientes al Bachillerato... Por la tarde (de 14.15 a 16.30hs), se cursan las horas de inglés". The website never mentions anything above the 5th year of the secondary school, so the range follows what the school names itself.
