The school was founded in 2008 by two philanthropist shareholders of Evyap Holding in memory of their late sister, whose name it carries; the holding itself dates its history to 1927. It stands in Sarıyer in Istanbul, close to the Bosphorus and the Belgrade Forest, on a site of 24,000 square metres of which 6,000 are garden and activity grounds. There are five stages on one campus: kindergarten, primary school, middle school, an Anatolian high school and a science high school. The kindergarten and the primary school run the IB Primary Years Programme. The school does not describe itself as a network and has no other sites.

About the fees The school fees page exists but opens with no content: there is no table by stage, no separate amounts and no note about value added tax, only the heading and the school's contact details.
Admissions Admission is handled stage by stage. The kindergarten takes children who have completed thirty-six months, after an interview with the counselling service. Primary entry rests on a school-readiness inventory and an interview with the same service. Applicants to the middle school sit an attainment assessment exam and must answer at least half of the questions correctly, and then go through an interview.
Stages and year groups Grades anaokulu, ilkokul, ortaokul, kolej (Anadolu lisesi), fen lisesi. Five stages share one campus: kindergarten, primary school, middle school, the Anatolian high school and the science high school. IB World School status applies to the kindergarten and the primary school; the senior stages follow the national curriculum.
