Satree Phuket is a state school in the centre of Phuket Town, founded in 1909 as a girls' school and grown into a full secondary school: it now has six year groups, from the first to the sixth year of secondary school, with thirteen classes in each. Inside the school there is a separate international programme, IPC, where almost all lessons are in English and Thai remains a separate subject. The programme leads from Cambridge Checkpoint in the eighth and ninth years of schooling to IGCSE in the tenth and eleventh and to AS and A Level in the twelfth and thirteenth. The school calls itself the only state school in Phuket with a Cambridge international programme and says that most of its pupils are awarded an A or A* in the examinations. Leavers of the programme have gone on to Chulalongkorn, Mahidol, Thammas, Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen universities, to Walailak University, to Dusit Thani College and to Korea University. The school does not name pupil numbers, ages of entry or safety rules on its site.

About the fees The school names a price only for the A Level programme: 200,000 baht a year. The fee for the eighth to eleventh years of the international programme is not named on the site, nor is the fee for the ordinary Thai classes. The school names one sum, for the A Level programme: it invites applications to the Cambridge A Level programme at 200,000 baht a year and adds that its international programme also has IGCSE and AS courses.
Admissions The international programme admits from the eighth to the thirteenth year of schooling: the admission form on the site is headed "Year 8 - 13". Applicants are asked to attach their most recent grade report ("Attach (Latest grade report)") and to state their nationality.
Stages and year groups Grades ม.1 - ม.6 (Year 8 - Year 13 on the international programme). The first-semester timetable is divided into six year groups - ม.1, ม.2, ม.3, ม.4, ม.5, ม.6 - with thirteen classes in each, from 1/1 to 1/13 and so. The international programme runs on top of these classes and sits in building 7 at the back of the school: "Our program is located in building 7 at the back of the school".

Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. Exam results The school describes its results in words, without percentages: over the past ten years many of its pupils have done well in IGCSE, and most pupils on the international Cambridge programme are awarded an A or A* in the examinati; those who sat AS and A Level, the school says, also achieved outstanding grades. It notes separately the pupils who have won Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. The school gives no average grades and no proportions.

Campus: The campus stands in Phuket's old town, on Damrong Road at the foot of Khao Rang hill. The school names its buildings: "อาคารฉลองราชกุมารี เฉลิมพระเกียรติ 50 พรรษา", opened in 2008, and "อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2550", built with funds from Chaitharam Temple. The international programme occupies building 7. The school has a school botanical garden, "สวนพฤกษศาสตร์โรงเรียน".
