US Vietnam Talent International School (UTS)

It accredits international schools and is a paying association at the same time. It examines governance and ownership, the curriculum, teaching, student wellbeing, staff and premises; a team of volunteers from other CIS accredited schools visits the school. Membership and accreditation are different things here, and schools confuse them more often than anything else.

What the badge means for this school. The school has been through this organisation's accreditation. It was judged as a whole: governance, safeguarding, staff, premises, teaching. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it.

Van Lang Education, in Vietnamese Tập đoàn Giáo dục Văn Lang, - a Vietnamese private education group with its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City; the legal entity is Công ty Cổ phần Tập đoàn giáo dục Văn Lang. The group has no website of its own; it describes itself in sections on the websites of its institutions. The composition is given differently on those pages, and we give both: the Vietnamese page of 2022 lists eight members - the group itself, Van Lang University, the Nam Mỹ UTS school, Van Lang Saigon College, the Viet Lotus company, the Van Lang Education company, a polyclinic and Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology; the English page of late 2024 names six, without Viet Lotus and without the group itself. In addition, in March 2021 the group took over from Vingroup a training centre for young footballers in Hung Yen province. That makes two universities, one college and one all-through school: UTS, Trường Quốc tế Nam Mỹ, established by a decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee of 20 April 2011, with stages from kindergarten to grade 12, international and bilingual pathways, and three sites in Ho Chi Minh City. The websites do not distinguish ownership, management and franchise: the institutions are called simply members of the system, with no indication of shares or of the form of control.

What this means for this school. The network owns or operates the school. Its accreditation and programme authorisation the school obtains separately, in its own name.
