An international school in Chiang Mai, on one campus with the Thai school Varee Chiangmai, at 59 Moo 6, Mahidol Rd. It teaches from the age of two to eighteen, from the Pre-Nursery group to Year 13; lessons are in English, while Thai, French and Chinese are taught as languages. The path is built on the British stages: Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2 in the primary school, Key Stage 3 in the secondary, two years of preparation for IGCSE and then AS and A Level. Classes are small: up to twenty children in the early years, up to twenty-five in the primary and secondary school, up to fifteen at A Level; in the early years a teacher and an assistant work with the children, and in the secondary school a form tutor and subject teachers. Admission is selective: English, mathematics and science are looked, and the level of spoken English is checked by a separate specialist. On the campus there are science and computer laboratories, art and music studios, a drama studio, two libraries, a swimming pool, a sports hall, sports pitches and a canteen with a mini-mart; there are many clubs, from origami and a film club to rugby, choir and TEDx. The school publishes its child protection policy for parents separately. The school's own site is not responding at present, and so neither its fees, nor its number of students, nor its founding year can be read there now.

About the fees The school is not showing its fees at present: its site is not responding. The school does have a section on fees - the menu carries Fee Schedule - but it cannot be opened now.
Admissions Admission is selective, and the school says so outright: "Varee Chiangmai International School is selective in acceptance of its students. Selection is based on each students' English, Mathematical and Science abilities". The level of spoken English is checked by a separate specialist: "Students entering our International School will also be interviewed by the English Language Specialist, to determine their level of spoken English". Pupils are assessed by age and by year group. First comes an interview with the parents and the child, then the application and the application fee, and only then the entrance assessment, which the international school office arranges. There is a separate page for booking a placement test.
Stages and year groups Grades Pre-Nursery - Year 13. The school writes of itself "We are open for students aged 2-18 (Pre-Nursery - Year 13)". The stages and ages from its own pages: Early Years - ages 2-4, class of up to 20; Primary - from age 5, Key Stage 1 being Years 1 and 2, class of up to 25; Secondary - from age 11, Key Stage 3, class of up to 25; Key Stage 4 - two years of preparation for IGCSE with examinations at the end of Year 11; A Level - ages 16-17, class of up to 15. Assessment in Key Stage 3 the school describes as "Cambridge exams in English, Maths and Science", but it does not name the Cambridge Lower Secondary stage itself.

Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.
