Al Murooj English School has been running in Sharjah since 1994, in the Al Azra district on Al Sumood Street. The curriculum is British: the early years FS1 and FS2 across the seven areas of the EYFS, the primary stage from Year 1 to Year 6, and one year of lower secondary - Year 7. The school goes no further, and that is the main thing for a parent to know: after Year 7 a child needs another school. Of its services the school describes only the medical one in detail: its own clinic with healthcare staff, medical records for every pupil, regular check-ups, vaccinations on schedule and health education programmes. There is a library, an ICT room, "smart classrooms", indoor and outdoor playgrounds with specialised safe flooring, and school transport. The school has its own clinic with modern facilities and a team of seasoned healthcare professionals: daily care, hygiene, emergencies, detailed medical records for every pupil, regular check-ups, vaccinations on the recommended schedule and health education programmes. On its safeguarding and wellbeing page the school writes that a pupil's wellbeing bears directly on their learning, that its teams support each child at every stage, and that any concern about a pupil's health or welfare may be raised with any member of staff.
