The British School of Valencia stands in the very centre of the city, in the Ruzafa quarter, and keeps two campuses: the main one from Early Years through to secondary, and a separate pre-university campus, BSV Nexus, for the Sixth Form eight minutes' walk away. Children are taken from the age of two and stay until eighteen, and more than seventy nationalities are represented. The curriculum is British but runs alongside the Spanish one: the school sets the British and Spanish year groups side by side - Year 7 is year 6 of Primaria, Year 13 the second year of Bachillerato. At the senior stage pupils sit Cambridge AS examinations in Year 12 and A-Levels in Year 13, four subjects in all, while also preparing the Spanish PCE examinations at UNED - the papers for those who have completed a foreign Bachillerato and are applying to a Spanish university. The A-Level choice is broad: from further maths and economics to digital media and design, computer science and music. The extracurricular programme runs from Year 1 to Year 9 and is delivered by the school together with outside providers: football, basketball, multisport, skating, martial arts, theatre, chess, art, robotics, entrepreneurship, science experiments and mini chef.

About the fees The fee for 2026/27 is divided into ten monthly payments, and the school states it in monthly amounts: 760 EUR a month from two to five, 830 from five to eleven, 960 from eleven to sixteen and 995 from sixteen to eighteen - that is 7600, 8300, 9600 and 9950 EUR for the year. The admission fee of 3250 EUR is paid once on first entry; for siblings of current pupils and for entrants from Year 7 to Year 13 it is reduced to 1600 EUR, and early bookings may split it into two payments - 1250 EUR to confirm the place and 2000 EUR in April. Renewing the registration for the following year costs 445 EUR and is non-refundable. School material is 242 EUR a term, and the school sends the textbook invoice in November. Transport is an optional 210 EUR a month; the dining room is 210 EUR a month and compulsory from Pre-Nursery to Year 4. The Morning Club is 30 or 60 EUR a month depending on whether a child arrives at 8:15 or 7:45.
Admissions Admission runs in six steps: contacting the school, a visit, meeting the entry requirements, a formal offer of a place, submitting documents and paying the admission fee, and starting at the school. Requirements rise with the stage: in Early Years and Year 1 no English is needed and parents provide only the forms and personal documents; in Years 2-6 age-appropriate English and numeracy are needed, school reports and proof of English level are submitted and the Head of Primary meets the child; in Years 7-11 the last two school reports, proof of English and an interview if a place is available; in the Sixth Form five A*-C (9-4) grades at IGCSE or equivalent, English at C1-C2 level and an interview. The school admits foreign pupils: under its admissions policy it accepts applications from children of all backgrounds, and a foreign pupil must have a guardian resident in Spain who can represent the parents when needed; its pupils come from more than seventy nationalities.
Stages and year groups Grades Pre-Nursery (2-3) - Year 13 (17-18). The stages run right through and the school maps them onto the Spanish ones: Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception are Infantil at 2, 3 and 4; Year 1 is Infantil at 5, Years 2-6 are years 1-5 of Primaria, Year 7 is year 6 of Primaria, Years 8-11 are years 1 to 4 of ESO, and Years 12-13 are the two years of Bachillerato. The Sixth Form is taught on the separate BSV Nexus campus.

CambridgeCambridge International Education
Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: A-Level (ages 16-18). A-Level is the senior years, and their results are what British and many other universities admit on.

No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
