Colegio Antamira stands in Miramadrid, a district of Paracuellos de Jarama north-east of Madrid, and belongs to the Grupo Educare network. The stages run right through and start very early: a nursery group from the age of one, then kindergarten, primary school, compulsory secondary and the upper stage - the national Bachillerato and the IB Diploma Programme for sixteen- and seventeen-year-olds. Teaching is bilingual, Spanish and English, and the school takes languages broadly: French and German as a separate programme, Cambridge English certificates, the British Council APTIS test and work with the Goethe-Institut; on top of that there is an American dual diploma. What matters for a family is that the school names three support services outright - a canteen, a psycho-pedagogical office and a medical room - and that it is among the "UNICEF friendly schools". Extracurricular activities run after 17:00 and at midday, an hour at a time and usually twice a week; the school stresses that they are voluntary, not academically assessed and run not for profit.

Admissions The school is state-funded, and admission follows the general procedure of the Community of Madrid for such schools: on its admission page for 2026-2027 it publishes the places offered, the joint admission resolution, information on the process for families, the points scale and the criteria for awarding points, the result of the public draw and the calendar of the main round. Once places are allocated, the family emails the school and receives online forms to complete the enrolment. The school does not write about foreigners or citizenship as a condition of entry.
Stages and year groups Grades first cycle of Infantil (ages 1-2) - year 2 of Bachillerato (age 17). The stages follow the school's own grid: the first cycle of kindergarten is ages 1 and 2, the second cycle ages 3 to 5, primary school ages 6 to 11, compulsory secondary (ESO) ages 12 to 15, and Bachillerato ages 16 and 17. The IB Diploma Programme runs over those same ages 16-17 alongside the national Bachillerato, so the choice between them is made on entering the upper stage.

IBInternational Baccalaureate
A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: DP (ages 16-19). DP is the final stage, ages 16 to 19: six subjects plus a compulsory core of theory of knowledge, an extended essay and CAS. The diploma is accepted by universities all over the world, and in a number of countries it counts for admission on the same footing as the local leaving certificate.

Grupo Educare is a group of schools in the Community of Madrid that traces its history to 1977, when Colegio Parque opened in La Navata (Galapagar). Today the group has 8 schools: besides Parque, these are Valdefuentes and Torrevilano in Madrid, Peñalar in Torrelodones, Peñalvento in Colmenar Viejo, Montesclaros in Cerceda, and Antamira in Paracuellos de Jarama and Antanes School in Leganés, both acquired in 2018. The group says it is made up of two companies - Comenius Participaciones SL and Swiss Life Asset Managers - and that in November 2025 Swiss Life Asset Managers became its main shareholder. The site gives different figures: 10,000 students and 720 teachers on the home page, and more than 11,000 school places and 800 staff on the history page; we quote both. The group's site is grupoeducare.es.
What this means for this school. The network owns or operates the school. Its accreditation and programme authorisation the school obtains separately, in its own name.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
