Coruna British International School is the first British school in A Coruna, and it is still growing: today it takes children from the age of three and teaches them to Year 6, while the secondary classes with IGCSEs and A-Levels are still to come as the school grows, so its present leavers will complete the senior stage elsewhere. It follows the English National Curriculum at all stages. Its strong point is its sports provision: an indoor heated swimming pool, a basketball court, a covered sports area and a dance studio, and the school links its choice of clubs directly to them. There are many clubs and they start at four: chess, multisports, basketball, judo, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, rugby, vocal and choral skills, instrumental and performance skills, a horticultural club, a comic club, Play School Music, drama, art, dance and ballet, little chefs, creative constructions, Mandarin, German, French, a debate club, Nenoos 360, robotics and little reporters. The fee includes one extracurricular activity, school and liability insurance, psychological and pre-university counselling and school materials.

About the fees The school does not publish annual amounts on its fees page: they are posted as a separate file for the 2026/27 academic year. The text gives the structure: fees are paid in ten monthly instalments, discounts are available for early payment, and the fee includes school and liability insurance, psychological and pre-university counselling, school materials and one extracurricular activity. The canteen and transport service, the remaining extracurricular activities, extended hours and uniforms are paid for separately. On top of the fee there is a one-time enrolment fee and an annual re-enrolment fee.
Admissions Admission in four steps: get in touch with the school through the form or by telephone, come for a tour and meet key staff, go through an assessment and complete the registration documents. For children aged 7 and over the school gives a simple assessment of English and mathematics to understand strengths and weaknesses; in Early Years families bring reports from the previous nursery, at Key Stage 1 the child has an interview with the head, and at Key Stage 2 also sits entrance examinations in mathematics and English. On its application page the school writes that it accepts applications from Nursery to Year 10 (that is 3º ESO), while in its description of itself on the same page it says that classes so far run to Year 6 and the next year group is added each year. Studying for less than a full academic year is, as a rule, not possible. The school does take foreigners: in its words, 90% of pupils are Spanish and 10% international, there are currently 18 nationalities, mainly European, but also children from India, North and South America; pupils whose first language is not Spanish study it in every year, and newcomers are given buddies from among their classmates.
Stages and year groups Grades Nursery (from age 3) - Year 6. At present the school runs from Nursery to Year 6; it intends to open secondary classes with IGCSEs and A-Levels as it grows, and says so plainly on its qualifications page. Extracurricular activities are available from Reception.

CambridgeCambridge International Education
Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. Which stages - from the early years programme for three-year-olds up to A-Level - this school is approved for is not stated here.

A K12 education group bringing together bilingual and international schools as well as online programmes. The site names "65+" schools in 11 countries and 40,000 pupils, and on all the pages read these numbers agree. Whether the group owns the schools, manages them or passes on its methodology under licence is not said on the site; the year of foundation and the country of registration are not named.
What this means for this school. The network owns or operates the school. Its accreditation and programme authorisation the school obtains separately, in its own name.

No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
