EGI International is a private full-day school in Oeiras near Lisbon, with its own premises on Rua da Fundição de Oeiras and its own pupils. Despite a name without the word school, a school is exactly what it is: a crèche from 18 months, Early Years stages from 3 to 5 and a primary school from Year 1 to Year 5, that is up to the age of 10. It follows the Cambridge programme, lessons are taught in English, and the school calls English the common language for everyone. The day runs from 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and there is no boarding. The school keeps classes small and has teaching spaces indoors and outdoors: a garden, a mud kitchen, bicycles, an egg incubation project, and a library the school calls its dream library. New purpose-built premises are being prepared in Barcarena. The school publishes its fees as a full table by age group.

About the fees The school publishes its fees as a table for 2026-2027: Crèche 1 and Crèche 2 at 11856 EUR a year each, both Early Years groups at 12093.50 EUR, Lower Primary Year 1 and Year 2 and Upper Primary Years 3, 4 and 5 at 13376 EUR. Payment can be made in ten monthly instalments, by term or in one annual payment. A second and any further child gets a 5 per cent reduction on tuition.

Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level.
