Eurocolegio Casvi is a private international school in Villaviciosa de Odón outside Madrid, the oldest school of the Casvi education group: it was opened in 1985 by Juan Yagüe after twenty-four years of his own teaching, and the others grew out of it - the school in Boadilla del Monte in 2005 and the American school in Tres Cantos in 2017. The school builds its international side on the full continuum of International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme, the Diploma coming in two versions, Spanish and bilingual - and alongside it the school also runs the ordinary Spanish bachillerato, so the senior stage is a choice for the family. There are many languages and they start early: immersion in English with international teachers from the age of three, German and Mandarin Chinese from ten, and Spanish as a foreign language for newcomers. Of its facilities the school names laboratories and libraries and numerous sports facilities, and it calls its extended hours free of charge. Of outside recognition it lists a place among the hundred best IB schools in Europe, the El Mundo ranking for the twenty-fourth year running, the Forbes hundred best schools in Spain, El Español's fifty outstanding schools for the seventh year running, the BeActive Award and the European Business Quality Award. The school publishes its fees in a price list for the 2025-2026 academic year: from 6200 euros a year in the nursery to 8980 euros in the second year of the baccalaureate. It does not state the number of pupils or teachers.

About the fees The school publishes its fees in a price list for the 2025-2026 academic year, in euros per year, in ten monthly payments from September to June; paying the whole year before 15 July gives a 3% discount. The nursery (first cycle of early years) and the first year of the second cycle - 6200 euros; the second and third years of early years - 6370; primary school from grade 1 to grade 6 - 6820; ESO years 1 and 2 - 7120; ESO years 3 and 4 - 7830; the first year of the baccalaureate - 8180, the second - 8980 euros. The IB Diploma Programme costs an extra 1650 euros for each of its two years. The canteen and the bus are arranged separately, by term.
Admissions The school does not publish a step-by-step admission procedure, entrance tests or deadlines: admission starts with an application form on the site, where the family lists the children and their dates of birth, or with a call or letter to the school, after which the school gets in touch. The school does take foreigners: among its languages it names Spanish for foreigners outright, and on its home page it quotes a pupil who writes that she is not Spanish and has settled in well at the school. The school names no Spanish or English requirements for applicants from other countries.
Stages and year groups The stages run right through from pre-school to the second year of the baccalaureate. The school spreads the IB programmes across all of them: the Primary Years Programme in primary, the Middle Years Programme in secondary, the Diploma Programme at the senior stage - and the Diploma comes in a Spanish and a bilingual version. Alongside the Diploma the school keeps the Spanish national bachillerato, so at the senior stage a family has a choice between two leaving routes. The school gives no authorisation dates for the individual programmes. Its own pages state the lower age limit differently: the English one from the age of three, the Spanish marking of the pre-school stage from nought to six.

The widest-reaching American accreditation: some forty thousand schools in over a hundred countries. It accredits both individual schools and whole school systems. It also sells a paid membership with no inspection behind it, and that membership is often passed off as accreditation.
What the badge means for this school. The school has been through this organisation's accreditation. It was judged as a whole: governance, safeguarding, staff, premises, teaching. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it.

A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: PYP (ages 3-12), MYP (ages 11-16), DP (ages 16-19). PYP is the primary stage, ages 3 to 12. It is not a set of subjects but a frame for the whole school: learning is built around lines of inquiry, and there are no exams at the end. MYP is the middle stage, ages 11 to 16. There are no exams here either; at the end an optional electronic assessment of pupils' work is possible. DP is the final stage, ages 16 to 19: six subjects plus a compulsory core of theory of knowledge, an extended essay and CAS. The diploma is accepted by universities all over the world, and in a number of countries it counts for admission on the same footing as the local leaving certificate.

The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation. We show it because a parent needs to know what programme their child is taught and what certificate the child will get. Counting it would lift the whole ranking at once and still tell nobody apart.
Exams and destinations from the school's official website
The school publishes nothing about where its leavers go: no share going on to university, no exam results, no list of universities.

No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
