Istituto Comprensivo Statale Giuseppe Montezemolo is a state school in southern Rome, in the Tre Fontane - Ottavo Colle district, combining scuola primaria and scuola secondaria di primo grado since 1 September 2000. It is named after Colonel Giuseppe Montezemolo, a Resistance fighter executed in 1944 at the Fosse Ardeatine. It has four sites and, according to the school, about 1400 students (the history section says more than 1500). Teaching is in Italian under the state curriculum. The middle school has a section with the Cambridge Lower Secondary course (curvatura Cambridge): 5-7 hours a week in English are added to the normal timetable - English, Science and Global Perspectives - taught jointly by the subject teacher and a native speaker. There is a music section with an orchestra, a choir and Erasmus+ projects.

Admissions Admission to primary and middle school follows the state procedure; for 2026-2027 the school held open days and enrolment advice from 1 December 2025 to 31 January 2026, with appointments with the deputy head by phone. Students come both from the local district and from other districts, from state and private schools. Enrolment in the Cambridge section commits the student for all three years of middle school; the final Checkpoint exams are optional. The school does not say on the pages reviewed how students are selected for the Cambridge section or the music section E. The school does not write about admitting foreigners; in its history section it notes a growing number of foreigners in the district, and the Italiano per tutti project teaches Italian through games for all students.
Stages and year groups Italian state curriculum: scuola primaria (mostly full day 8:10-16:10, Monday to Friday) and scuola secondaria di primo grado (Monday to Friday 8:00-14:00, section H with an extended timetable; ending with the esame di Stato del primo ciclo). Section E is the music track. Curvatura Cambridge in the middle school is Cambridge Lower Secondary for ages 11-14, three stages across three years: in each year English 3 hours, Science 1 or 2 hours and Global Perspectives 1 or 2 hours a week, 5-7 hours in English in total; lessons are taught jointly by the subject teacher and a native speaker without changing the overall timetable. Assessment: half-yearly reports, annual Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression tests and optional Cambridge Checkpoint at the end of the third year, marked in Cambridge. The course description is from the 2024-2025 presentation.

Cambridge · Lower Secondary · authorised programmeThe Cambridge register names the school as its centre; it teaches Cambridge Lower Secondary. The Cambridge stream in middle school adds 5-7 hours a week in English across all three years: English, Science and Global Perspectives at Lower Secondary level, with optional Checkpoint.

CambridgeCambridge International Education
Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: Lower Secondary (ages 11-14). Lower Secondary is the middle stage, ages 11 to 14, with the same optional Checkpoint test at the end.

The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation. We show it because a parent needs to know what programme their child is taught and what certificate the child will get. Counting it would lift the whole ranking at once and still tell nobody apart.

The school publishes nothing about where its leavers go: no share going on to university, no exam results, no list of universities.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
