The school has worked since 2017 in Quinta da Marinha near Cascais and takes a child from 3 to 18: early years, primary and secondary, the last split into two three-year cycles, Grades 7 to 10 and Grades 11 to 13. Its method is Montessori, its programme Cambridge International, and its older pupils work towards the Cambridge AICE Diploma; the school's way of life is Catholic, with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Lessons are in English, and Portuguese is taught as a second language as a separate subject, with its own specialists at primary level. The timetable of the older pupils holds art and design, combined science, English language and literature, geography, history, mathematics, music, physical education and Portuguese, and for the upper cycle biology, chemistry, economics, further mathematics, physics, psychology, history and global perspectives and research. The school keeps a farm run by its older pupils and deliberately limits technology in learning. Admissions Admission runs in several steps: the family reads the school handbook, completes a pre-registration form, comes for a visit of about an hour, writes a letter explaining why it chooses this school, after which the child spends 2 to 3 days in class. The school gives its decision in the spring, and after it the family completes the registration form and pays the registration fee. The school sets no compulsory language threshold on its admission pages.

The pedagogy of Maria Montessori: a child chooses the activity, works at their own pace with special materials, and mixed-age groups are arranged so that older children teach the younger ones. It is used most often in the nursery and primary stages.
