Leibniz-Gymnasium in Dortmund is a state grammar school of the City of Dortmund that calls itself Dortmund International School. According to the school's 2016-2017 flyer it has two strands - a bilingual German-English one and a science and technology (MINT) one; bilingual modules start in grade 5, biology, geography and history are taught in two languages in the middle grades, and the Abitur carries a bilingual endorsement. In the upper school it offers the IB Diploma Programme and is certified as an IB World School; it also holds the CertiLingua label for language and international competences. The school helps children, especially from English-speaking countries, integrate into the German school system, takes part in Model United Nations conferences and runs exchanges with France, Ireland and China.
