LIFE International School is a Christian international school on the American model in Tres Cantos near Madrid. The idea was born in 2014, the non-profit association Christian Schools in Spain was set up for it, and in September 2017 the school opened with five staff and nine pupils. Since then it has added stages one at a time and in September 2025 reached grade 12; it now teaches children from 3 to 18. In September 2026 the school moved into a new building at Ronda de Poniente 3, on the campus of the SID Madrid science and innovation district. The programme is American, teaching is entirely in English, teachers are mostly from the United States, and also from Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Jamaica; from first grade there is an hour of Spanish language and culture every day, and in secondary school Spanish subjects needed for validating the diploma are added. The school is accredited by MSA and ACSI, issues an American high school diploma and is recognised in Spain as a foreign school with Community of Madrid licence 28078353. Classes have up to 15 pupils. The letters L, I, F, E stand for its values: love, integrity, faith, excellence; Bible lessons are part of the programme, but families are not required to share the faith. The school publishes its fees itself.

Admissions The school is open to all children and families who value its model of education and does not discriminate by race, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin; families and staff, it says, come from more than 30 countries. Sharing the school's faith is not required, but the family must understand that the school is Christian. Children with different levels of English are placed in common classes and given language support. Admission has three steps: a visit in person or by Zoom, a tour and an online application; new pupils have an assessment and interview costing 100 euros. Places are given as available, and enrolment runs from September to February.
Stages and year groups Grades Pre-K (3 years) - Grade 12 (18 years). The early childhood stage is Pre-K and Kindergarten, ages 3-5, a thematic programme with play and full English immersion. Elementary school is grades 1-6: English, Spanish language and literature, mathematics, natural science, social studies, Bible and values, as well as art, music, technology and physical education. Secondary school is grades 7-12: Spanish geography and history are added to the core subjects; in the upper grades there is an elective leadership course. After grade 12 the school issues an American high school diploma; to enter Spanish public universities it must be validated, which requires the Spanish subjects the school teaches.

ACSIAssociation of Christian Schools International
An accreditation of Christian schools: the school spends eighteen months to two years on a self-study, and then peers from other Christian schools visit. Faithfulness to the Christian confession is part of the standards, so this is an accreditation with a condition of belief. It often runs jointly with MSA or Cognia, and such a pair is stronger than ACSI alone.

An American organisation that allows a school to put the letters AP on a pupil's transcript. The permission is granted course by course and tied to a particular teacher, it has to be renewed every year, and College Board reads the course syllabus before granting it.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run advanced AP courses - not the school as a whole, but one by one: by subject and by teacher. Governance, safeguarding and the primary years are not part of that check. Which subjects are actually approved is visible in the ledger. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it.

The site presents the leadership: an executive director with a master's degree in educational leadership, an elementary principal with a doctorate in education, and middle and high school principals. Classes are limited to 15 pupils.

The school says nothing on its website about security, medical care or pupil support.
Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
