The programme is American, and the school is approved by the College Board for Advanced Placement courses: its record stands in the AP Course Ledger for both the 2024-2025 and the 2025-2026 year under code 522332, and the register calls it "Mubarak Bin Mohammed Charter School - Cycle 2". Who is taken is decided not by the school: charter schools are open to UAE nationals, to children of Emirati mothers, to holders of citizenship decrees and to nationals of the Gulf states, the last of these from the first grade upwards. Its own purpose the school describes in words about growing today's pupils to inspire tomorrow's leaders, and sets beside it discipline, care for one another and respect for the heritage of the UAE, which is built into its subjects. Lessons it tries to begin with "hook lessons" - lessons meant as a hook for curiosity. The school has science laboratories, music rooms, a library and reading corners in the classrooms themselves, an assembly hall, a canteen, and indoor and outdoor areas for physical education. Life outside lessons runs along three lines - academic, sporting and creative - plus camps inside the school during the breaks, trips out, taking part in the "I Am A UAE Coder" programme and in the UAE Special Olympics. The school day runs from 7:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and to 12:15 on Friday. Numbers of pupils, a founding year, classes, teaching staff and examination results the school does not give on its single page: a site of its own it does not have, and its page on the ADEK charter schools portal is short and speaks of intent and facilities rather than figures.

About the fees The school takes no fee from families and therefore publishes no price list: the charter schools of Abu Dhabi are funded by the state and run by a private operator, and the government platform of the UAE describes them in just those words - "publicly funded and privately operated schools". There is accordingly no scale by grade, no fees and no deposits.

Admission is therefore not general, and the rules are set not by the school but by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge: charter schools take UAE nationals, children of Emirati mothers, holders of citizenship decrees issued by the president or the vice-president of the country, and nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, the last of these only from the first grade upwards. To foreigners without one of these grounds the door is closed. No other conditions - entrance examinations, selection by attainment, a catchment area - are named either by the school on its page or by ADEK.

An American organisation that allows a school to put the letters AP on a pupil's transcript. The permission is granted course by course and tied to a particular teacher, it has to be renewed every year, and College Board reads the course syllabus before granting it.
