Międzynarodowe Szkoły Paderewski are two private schools in Lublin under one name: the Międzynarodowa Szkoła Podstawowa Paderewski (grades 1-8) and the Międzynarodowe Liceum Ogólnokształcące Paderewski (a four-year secondary school). The liceum opened in 1993 as the first private secondary school in the city and in 1999 became the sixth school in Poland authorised for the IB Diploma Programme; its lower secondary school became the first in Poland authorised for the MYP in 2003, and the primary school has had its own building since 2010 and has offered the PYP since 2019. The schools describe themselves as one of five in Poland with the full IB continuum. Teaching follows the Polish national curriculum with the egzamin ósmoklasisty and the matura: PYP in grades 1-5, MYP from grade 6 of primary school to year 2 of the liceum, Diploma Programme in years 3-4 of the liceum. Alongside, since 2019 the liceum has bilingual classes leading to the Polish matura. The primary school teaches in Polish with extended English (4-6 hours a week, CLIL elements from grade 1); MYP lessons are in Polish with a gradual move to English, most Diploma Programme lessons are in English; bilingual classes use Polish and English. The schools are secular, with a choice between religion and ethics.

About the fees Fees for 2026-2027 are paid monthly, 12 months a year. Primary school: 1650 PLN per month; annual PYP fee 800 PLN (grades 1-4), MYP fee 800 PLN in grade 5 and 1000 PLN in grades 6-8. Liceum: Polish bilingual programme 1500 PLN per month; international IB programme 1850 PLN per month, rising by 250 PLN from year 3 (Diploma Programme) to 2100 PLN. One-off scholarships are available for high grades and olympiad results.
Admissions Admission to grade 1 of the primary school is by points (maximum 100): a 90-minute group session with a teacher and a 30-minute individual meeting with a psychologist, both in Polish; they assess school readiness against the Polish pre-school curriculum and understanding of simple English. With equal results, siblings of pupils in the Paderewski schools have priority; the order of applications does not count. For higher primary grades there are entrance tests in Polish, mathematics and English based on the Polish curriculum (at least 75% in each) and an interview with a psychologist. Admission to the liceum after grade 8 is by ranking based on egzamin ósmoklasisty results and certificate grades; candidates choose the Polish bilingual or the international programme. Candidates who have studied and live abroad have a separate admissions procedure in English: for years 1-2 of the liceum (MYP), review of previous school documents and entrance exams in mathematics and English; for year 3 (Diploma Programme), exams in English (at least 75%), mathematics (at least 65%) and higher level subjects (at least 75%) and an online interview; the committee decides on foreign candidates individually.

What stands behind each entry

IBInternational Baccalaureate

A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.

What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: PYP (ages 3-12), MYP (ages 11-16), DP (ages 16-19). PYP is the primary stage, ages 3 to 12. It is not a set of subjects but a frame for the whole school: learning is built around lines of inquiry, and there are no exams at the end. MYP is the middle stage, ages 11 to 16. There are no exams here either; at the end an optional electronic assessment of pupils' work is possible. DP is the final stage, ages 16 to 19: six subjects plus a compulsory core of theory of knowledge, an extended essay and CAS. The diploma is accepted by universities all over the world, and in a number of countries it counts for admission on the same footing as the local leaving certificate.

PASCHSchools: Partners for the Future, an initiative of the German foreign ministry

More than two thousand schools in about 120 countries. A school cannot apply for itself: participants are chosen by German agencies in agreement with the embassy. Very different schools sit under one mark - full German schools abroad, and ordinary national schools that simply teach German well.

What the badge means for this school. The school belongs to a German support programme. By itself the mark means neither a German curriculum nor the right to award a German certificate: of the two thousand PASCH schools, about seventeen hundred hold no such right. Look for a ZfA status next to it - that is the one that is about this. The entry is confirmed in the organisation's open directory.

National programme

The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.

What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation. We show it because a parent needs to know what programme their child is taught and what certificate the child will get. Counting it would lift the whole ranking at once and still tell nobody apart.

No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

"Scored on disclosed data" stands where we count only what the school has written about itself on its own site: exams and destinations, safety and wellbeing, teaching staff, facilities, clubs and activities. A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives. The full methodology →
