Palma College is a private Sixth Form college in the centre of Palma, in its words the only one on Mallorca where only the last two school years are taught, from 16 to 18. It was founded in 2012 and opened in 2013 for the island's international community. Lessons are in English. The programme is British A-Level from the Pearson Edexcel examination board, international IAL and GCE: in the Lower Sixth usually four AS subjects, in the Upper Sixth three A2 subjects; in sport and travel a Level 3 BTEC can be taken. There are thirteen subjects: art and design, biology, business, chemistry, drama and theatre, English literature, geography, history, IT, mathematics, physics, psychology and Spanish. Classes are usually no larger than twelve, and every subject teacher meets each pupil one to one for 15 minutes once a week. Besides exams the college runs a compulsory Enrichment and Next Steps programme: cooking and healthy eating, financial planning, interviews, emotional intelligence, guest speakers, time management, yoga, critical thinking. There is IELTS preparation and careers guidance, and the college draws up a special timetable for pupils who are athletes. From September 2026 the college takes international pupils into selected families under the Host Boarding programme. The college is a Pearson Edexcel examination centre. It publishes its fees itself, in euros per year.

About the fees The college publishes its fees itself, in euros per year: 17200 euros for the first year (marked 2024-25 on the page) and 17900 euros for the second year (2025-26); the page gives no prices for 2026-2027. The fee covers up to four subjects in the first year and up to three in the second, weekly one-to-one meetings with every subject teacher, textbooks, registration and entry for three A-Levels and one AS, support for special educational needs and the Enrichment and Next Steps programmes. Pupils can also study one or two subjects: 5000 euros per subject in 2024-25 and 5200 in 2025-26, with the Enrichment programme at 3000 euros a year as an option.
Admissions The college was set up for Mallorca's international community, and from September 2026 it takes international pupils aged 16-18 living with host families. Entry requirements: a high level of spoken and written English, IGCSE or an equivalent certificate, completed or in progress, predicted grades of B or A in the subjects taken to A-Level, and an interview with the Head; it can be by video. After the interview and a tour the college takes up references and makes a written offer of a place; it must be confirmed and the registration fee paid within a week. The college warns that it does not arrange student visas and that enrolment does not help with obtaining residency. Willingness to take part in all Enrichment sessions is also a condition of entry.
Stages and year groups Grades Lower Sixth (Year 12, age 16) - Upper Sixth (Year 13, age 18). Only the last two school years. What stands behind each entry

PearsonPearson Edexcel, a British exam board

It gives a school approved centre status: that means Pearson exams can be sat in the school itself. What is checked is the premises, the equipment, the secure storage of papers and the presence of trained invigilators.

What the badge means for this school. The school can run Pearson exams on its own premises. The status says nothing about teaching, about results or about the school itself: any school able to run an exam securely holds it. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. Which Pearson qualifications this school is approved for is not stated here.

"Scored on disclosed data" stands where we count only what the school has written about itself on its own site: exams and destinations, safety and wellbeing, teaching staff, facilities, clubs and activities. A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives. The full methodology →
