Centre Cultural i Esportiu XALOC is a school in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat outside Barcelona, and it is built more broadly than an ordinary college: besides general education from kindergarten to the baccalaureate it runs intermediate and higher vocational cycles, some of them on its Badalona campus and some by distance learning, plus continuing and occupational training for adults. The range is very wide - from electromechanical maintenance and industrial robotics to pharmacy, health emergencies, care for dependent people and early years education. Its international provision rests on the IB Diploma Programme at the senior stage. It has many services and names them in a list: the school office, the school route, uniform and school materials, a guidance department, school meals from its own kitchen, medical services, summer activities and a library. It lists its projects separately: personal tutorships, English, solidarity activities, STEAM, the American High School Diploma, a musical itinerary, after-school activities and an alumni association. The main thing a parent needs to know: the school publishes no fees, and it writes its own address two different ways on one and the same page.

Admissions The school sets out admission in six steps: get in touch through the form on the site or by telephone; come to an interview where the projects are explained and the classrooms shown; fill in the application form, which is handed out at the interview and sent on request to families living abroad; complete enrolment with copies of the family book and the parents' identity documents and a certificate of registered address; confirm services - bus, meals and others; receive confirmation of enrolment. The official pre-registration for children from age 2 to the 4th year of ESO takes place in March, in 2026 from 8 to 20 March, but a place can be reserved in advance; for the baccalaureate registration opens in April. The school takes foreigners: for families abroad it expressly provides an application by email. The school names no entrance exam and no language requirement.
Stages and year groups Grades Infantil 0 - year 2 of the baccalaureate, plus the IB Diploma Programme and vocational cycles. The school's own enrolment form lists the stages by name: Infantil from 0 to 5, years one to six of primary, years one to four of ESO, years one and two of the baccalaureate, and, as a separate line, the IB Diploma Programme. Then come the intermediate vocational cycles - electromechanical maintenance, electrical and automatic installations, administrative management, care for people in a situation of dependency, pharmacy and parapharmacy, health emergencies, auxiliary nursing care - and the higher ones: maintenance of thermal and fluid installations, energy efficiency and solar energy, automation and industrial robotics, industrial mechatronics, administration and finance, health documentation and administration, and early years education. Some cycles run on the Badalona campus and some by distance learning.

IBInternational Baccalaureate
A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: PYP (ages 3-12), MYP (ages 11-16), DP (ages 16-19). PYP is the primary stage, ages 3 to 12. It is not a set of subjects but a frame for the whole school: learning is built around lines of inquiry, and there are no exams at the end. MYP is the middle stage, ages 11 to 16. There are no exams here either; at the end an optional electronic assessment of pupils' work is possible. DP is the final stage, ages 16 to 19: six subjects plus a compulsory core of theory of knowledge, an extended essay and CAS. The diploma is accepted by universities all over the world, and in a number of countries it counts for admission on the same footing as the local leaving certificate.

Campus: The school lists its services: the school office, the school route, uniform and school materials, a guidance department, school meals from its own kitchen, medical services, summer activities and a library. Besides the main address in L'Hospitalet the school has a campus in Badalona where some of the vocational cycles run. The school gives no description of its buildings or sports facilities, although it calls itself a cultural and sporting centre.
Summer camp: the school runs its own camp; whether it takes children from outside is not stated on the website
In summer, at the end of June and in July 2026, the school runs its own day camp DIVERESTIU for children from 5 to 12, primary years 1 to 6: swimming, sport, arts and crafts, music, games, cultural trips and excursions and supervised study. All activities are run by the school's teachers, meals are optional, places are limited and registration is by form. The school also names a residential Summer Camp but gives no details of it. The page gives no prices.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
