A high school in Göztepe, founded in 1878 and run under the SEV foundation, Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfı. It has 881 students and 123 teachers, with the staff reaching 156 including administration, and classes of 13 to 24. Science, mathematics and some elective subjects are taught in English and the cultural subjects in Turkish; the second language is German, Spanish or French. Part of the English, mathematics, French, drama and visual arts teaching is done by foreign staff. There have been 7,798 graduates since the founding. The school takes children from 44 provinces: 417 come from outside Izmir and 151 of them live in the dormitories.

Admissions Entry is into the preparatory classes, and for each academic year the school publishes a separate guide with the registration calendar. A financial registration letter and a scholarship letter sit beside it. Seven-day boarding is open to students who live outside Izmir.
Stages and year groups Grades Hazırlık, 9-12. Five levels: a compulsory preparatory year, Hazırlık, and four years of high school. The preparatory year covers intensive English, a second foreign language, Turkish, science, mathematics, art, physical education, music and guidance. Classes hold 13 to 24 students. The IB Diploma Programme covers the last two years.

The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation.
