A bilingual school in Campana, in the north of Buenos Aires Province, which works as a single academic complex from the nursery to the final year. The school received its licence to operate on 20 September 1992 and its first school day was 8 March 1993 - there were twenty-seven pupils in the single first-year class of the secondary stage, and the first bilingual bachilleres graduated in 1997; the primary stage opened in 1995 and the pre-school stage in 1996. The nursery takes children from ten months old, and then come Kinder, a six-year primary school and the secondary. At every stage there is a choice between a standard, an extended and a full day. The teaching rests on the Reggio Emilia approach, Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences and Harvard's Project Zero, and the school looks on its space as "the third teacher": besides ordinary classrooms there are ateliers of art, light, taste, literature, drama and experiment, a vegetable garden, a gym, a playground with a sandpit and a sports playón. English begins in Kinder and is taken through to the Cambridge examinations; the school is itself a Cambridge examination centre, and in the senior years it prepares pupils for IGCSE and for the Cambridge ICE. The school has many extra-curricular projects - from a Model United Nations and TED Talks to a simulated enterprise, a podcast and work placements - and a summer colony of its own, open to children from outside the school as well. Admissions Admission takes five steps, in the words of the school: first "Completar el formulario de "Preadmisión" con los datos básicos del aspirante", then the school contacts the family itself and arranges an educational interview at which it considers whether the child suits its educational offering; after that the family receives a letter with access to the admissions panel and completes the remaining details; then "Una vez aprobado el proceso de admisión, deberá realizar el pago de la matrícula"; and only then does the child start school.
