Instituto Yavne is a Jewish school in Montevideo, run under Asociación Religiosa Mizraji del Uruguay. It takes children from the age of one: Gan with its nursery groups, Kinder 4 and 5, then Primaria up to the sixth grade; the school has no secondary stage. Alongside the national programme there is Jewish studies under the Italam programme, English as a separate department and Hebrew, and in the sixth grade the children sit an oral Trinity College London examination.
