A state primary school in the new Xuân Phương area in the west of Hanoi. It opened in 2013 and became the city's first school with "high quality" status: "Trường Tiểu học Nam Từ Liêm được thành lập năm 2013. Trường vinh dự mang tên Quận và là Trường Tiểu học Chất lượng cao đầu tiên của Thành phố". Thirty classes from Lớp 1 to Lớp 5, with all children on a full day and lunch at school. Alongside the Vietnamese curriculum the school runs the international Cambridge Primary programme, and in those classes mathematics and science are taught partly in English by Vietnamese and foreign teachers. The site covers 7,700 square metres: a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a dining hall, a medical room, a library, and in every classroom a televisi, a computer, a projector and an interactive whiteboard. Clubs run after lessons - from Football, badmint, aerobics and martial arts to chess, art, robotics and coding; in the summer the school opens summer clubs on its own campus. The school does not state its fees, it posts its staff list and its results as images and attached files, and its site does not respond at present.

About the fees The school does not publish its own tuition fees on its site. The only document about payment there is the city resolution on the fee ceiling for state schools of high quality, "Nghị quyết 06/2021/NQ-HĐND về việc quy định mức trần học phí đối với cơ sở giáo dục công lập chất lượng cao trên địa bàn Thủ đô năm học 2021-2022", and that is not the school's own price.
Admissions Enrolment is only into Lớp 1 and only on the school's own announcement: "Căn cứ kế hoạch số: 134/KH-THNTL ngày 18 tháng 4 năm 2025 về tuyển sinh vào lớp 1 năm học 2025-2026, trường tiểu học Nam Từ Liêm Thông báo tuyển sinh". Registration goes through an online form, the application is made on a separate blank ("Form đăng kí tuyển sinh", "Đơn đăng kí tuyển sinh"), and the school posts the list of documents as the attachment "Đơn xin nhập học 25-26". For transfers from another school it has separate rules - "QUY ĐỊNH VỀ CHUYỂN TRƯỜNG CHO HỌC SINH".
Stages and year groups Grades Lớp 1 - Lớp 5. The school goes up to Lớp 5 and no further: in the summer "180 em học sinh lớp 1, cùng toàn thể các anh chị học sinh khối 2, 3, 4, 5" come back to the campus. In its plan for 2024-2025 the school writes "Tổng số học sinh trường có 30 lớp", while on the page about its premises it says "Toàn trường có 25 phòng học"; both figures are the school's own, and both are left as the school gives them. The school does not run the Cambridge programme in every class and names two figures itself: "8 lớp học Chương trình Giáo dục tiểu học Quốc tế Cambridge VN082" and "năm học 2024-2025 trường có 10 lớp Cambridge"; lower down in the same document - "chương trình Cambridge ở 8 lớp từ khối 1 đến khối 5".

Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. Campus: A site of 7,700 square metres in the Xuân Phương residential area: three four-storey buildings (two teaching blocks and an administrative one) and one three-storey building holding the swimming pool, the dining hall for children staying the day and the gymnasium. The yard covers 2,500 square metres. There are 25 classrooms of 52 square metres each, all with a televisi, a computer, a cassette player, a document camera, an interactive whiteboard and a projector, and the network reaches every classroom. The school also gives its own per-pupil figures: "tổng diện tích: 7700 m2 đạt 17,1m2/ học sinh", "diện tích sân chơi: 2500m2, đạt 5,6m2 / học sinh", "mỗi phòng có diện tích 52 m2 đạt 1,74 m2 / học sinh". There are a medical room and a library. 25 classrooms. 7,700 square metres of usable space.

The school opens summer clubs on its own campus at the beginning of August, before the school year: "Sáng ngày 2 tháng 8 năm 2024, trường Tiểu học Nam Từ Liêm vui mừng chào đón 180 em học sinh lớp 1, cùng toàn thể các anh chị học sinh khối 2, 3, 4, 5 quay trở lại trường tham gia các câu lạc bộ hè bổ ích".
