The school is run by its founders Ali Demir and Müzeyyen Demir. It began in 1987 in Ankara, on Ziya Gökalp Avenue in Kızılay, with course centres and a schoolbook publishing house; the college itself opened in 2014 at Çayyolu and in the same year saw out its first students. The school builds itself around what it calls the Zafer model and keeps separate strands: AP courses, the IB programme, STEM work, a robotics and artificial intelligence campus, its own Zafer AI programme, a CERN camp, an art school, a second foreign language, a careers centre and an international education office. It also runs a sports club and the Ali Demir academy for professional development. Its news pages report trips to the NASA Space Apps Challenge and AP clubs taught by graduates of foreign universities.
