TED İstanbul Koleji is a private school of the TED İstanbul Koleji Vakfı foundation in Beykoz, on the Asian side of Istanbul. The foundation was set up in 1997 by graduates of TED Ankara Koleji, the school opened for teaching in the 1998-99 academic year, and it works under the Turkish Education Association (TED), a public benefit association founded in 1928. One campus holds the kindergarten, primary school, middle school and high school with a preparatory year, and the high school has a boarding section. The school calls itself bilingual: mathematics and science are taught in English, as are some elective courses, and English lessons run from four to twenty-one hours a week depending on the grade. The first high school class graduated in the 2002-2003 academic year, and the alumni association TEDMED started that year. The school belongs to the TED group of schools.

About the fees The school publishes a new-entry price list for the 2026-2027 academic year. The figures in this card include VAT: primary school 1,068,606 lira, middle school 1,127,973, high school and the preparatory class 1,187,340, kindergarten 1,100,988. Without VAT the same stages cost 971,460, 1,025,430, 1,079,400 and 1,000,898 lira; VAT is 10 per cent. These are base list prices without discounts, and a separate rate of increase is announced for returning students.
Admissions Admission starts with a pre-registration form on the website and an individual assessment interview for the family and the child with the school counsellors; interviews are held by appointment from 10:00 to 16:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays. Pre-registration asks for two headshot photos, a copy of the ID card and the form issued by the admissions office. Kindergarten places are offered in three age groups by year of birth. Boarding places are given by order of priority: children of families living abroad, then in hardship areas, then outside Istanbul, then in Kocaeli and the far districts of the city.
Stages and year groups Stages: kindergarten with pre-k, junior and senior groups, primary school grades 1-4, middle school grades 5-8, and high school with a preparatory class and grades 9-12. There are 16 children in the pre-k group and 20 in the other kindergarten levels. The school keeps at most 24 students per class in primary and middle school and at most 25 in high school.

An American organisation that allows a school to put the letters AP on a pupil's transcript. The permission is granted course by course and tied to a particular teacher, it has to be renewed every year, and College Board reads the course syllabus before granting it.

Advanced Placement: American advanced courses for the senior years. The exam for a course is set and marked by the College Board, not by the school. A good result is counted by American universities as a first-year course already passed, which saves a student time and money.
What this means for this school. A school does not get to call a course AP automatically: the College Board reads the course syllabus and approves it separately for every subject and every teacher, and the permission has to be renewed each year. National programme
The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.

TED Okullarıschool network
Schools of Türk Eğitim Derneği - a civil organisation founded on 31 January 1928 under the name Türk Maarif Cemiyeti and calling itself the first civic organisation of the republic in education. The organisation exists separately from the schools and holds, besides them, TED University, founded in 2009 and admitting students in 2012, and the TEDMEM think tank. Since 2020 it has run an accreditation and consultancy of its own for outside schools under the name TED AD, and such a paper does not make a school part of the network.
