Colégio Júlio Dinis has worked in Porto since 1934 and keeps two schools under one roof. The Portuguese national school runs from the nursery and pre-school through the three cycles of basic education to secondary school, and its lessons are taught in Portuguese. The international school follows the Cambridge programme and its lessons are taught in English: Cambridge Primary from age 5, Lower Secondary from 11, Upper Secondary from 14 with IGCSE examinations in Years 10-11, and Cambridge Advanced from 16 with AS and A Level in Years 12-13, with the Cambridge ICE and AICE group diplomas. About the fees For the Portuguese part of the school the fees for 2025-2026 are published as a table: pre-school 4455 EUR a year, the first cycle of basic education 4565 EUR, the second cycle 4840 EUR, the third cycle 4895 EUR, secondary school 5115 EUR, nursery for children in their first year 5580 EUR, nursery from one to two 5940 EUR. Payment can be made in eleven instalments, and in the nursery groups in twelve. No fees for the international part of the school appear in the open sections of the site.
Admissions The school takes children from all around the world and says itself that its pupils come from over 50 countries. Enrolment documents must be translated into English or Portuguese and notarised. In the international school English is required by level: not below A1 in Years 3-6, not below A2 in Years 7-9, with those below that level going through the English support programme, B1-B2 in Years 10-11 and B2-C1 in Years 12-13, with C1 or the equivalent required to enter Year 12. After the interview an English placement test covers reading, writing, listening and speaking, and Upper Secondary and Advanced applicants also sit subject tests. Entry is possible in Years 1-13. Priority runs in this order: siblings of current pupils, children from other Cambridge schools, children of staff, then high-achieving applicants.

Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level. If the stages are known they are named in the line below; if that line is missing, the school does not publish them, and the Cambridge registry does not show stages either - it gives only the name of the centre, the country and whether private candidates are accepted. Cambridge calls what it does registration rather than accreditation, and the network holds about ten thousand schools.

A British group, founded in 2015 by Aatif Hassan; the legal entity in the footer of the site is Dukes Education Group Ltd. It calls itself a family of nurseries, schools and colleges in the UK and Europe, with one school in Canada in a section of its own. The total number of schools, pupils and countries is not named on the site. The numbers for Portugal diverge: the "Portugal" section lists six schools, while the group's own news item about the UK-Portugal Business Awards says four. Of the schools it is said that they join the family; whether the group owns them, manages them under contract or gives its methodology under licence is not said.

Campus: The school describes its campus as an educational city: several separate buildings, streets, pathways and large green spaces.
