Escuela Internacional Waldorf Valencia stands in El Puig de Santa María outside Valencia and teaches the whole cycle of compulsory education - from three to sixteen. Its authorisation comes from the Conselleria d'Educació of the Valencian Community, and its American recognition from NEASC, which, as the school writes, visits it regularly to assess educational quality standards. There are three stages: Infantil from three to five, Primaria from the first to the sixth year, and Secundaria from the first to the fourth, that is from twelve to sixteen. The pedagogy is Waldorf; the school also runs a Waldorf-Steiner teacher training strand of its own. What sets the school apart is its site: six thousand square metres holding, besides classrooms, a canteen and a sports court, extensive green areas, a vegetable garden and a swimming pool. The main thing a parent needs to know before adding up the costs: the school has no school transport at all, and its fees page says so outright. The school does not name the language of lessons directly; all its pages for families - on the stages, admission, fees and timetable - are written in Spanish, while the English version of the site is short and describes the school in general; hence Spanish as the language of instruction.

About the fees The 2026-2027 fee is charged in eleven monthly instalments from September to July: 522 EUR a month for Infantil (3-5), 528 EUR for Primaria (years 1-6) and 578 EUR for Secundaria (years 1-4). The annual registration fee of 400 EUR is paid in March or April as a guarantee of a place for the following year; the family fee of 900 EUR is a single initial deposit per family and is non-refundable. Classroom materials are charged separately and annually: 373 EUR in Infantil, which includes the mid-morning meal, 344 EUR in Primaria and 414 EUR in Secundaria, where the recorder and other special materials are not included. Discounts on both the registration fee and the instalments: 18 per cent for a second child and 30 for a third; they do not apply to materials. Lunch costs 9 EUR a day on a monthly contract or 10 EUR per menu on a single day; a mid-morning or afternoon snack 3 EUR. Afternoon care from 15:00 to 17:00 costs 70 EUR a month or 7 EUR for a single day. There is no school transport.
Admissions Admission goes in six steps: a form on the site; an information meeting or an open day - the family must attend one of them; if there is a place, the process continues, if not, the family goes on the waiting list; then the child spends a few days in the class and/or has an assessment with the pedagogical support team, and the family meets the future teacher; the admissions team decides whether the child can join the group; if the decision is positive, the family hands in the documents, pays the family deposit and the annual enrolment fee, and the place is confirmed. The school names no language requirements or rules for children from other countries.

NEASCNew England Association of Schools and Colleges
An American accreditation working since 1885. For international schools it uses an approach where the visitors look first at live lessons rather than at folders of paperwork: the team works in the school for about a week. It is the only one here whose public directory honestly separates accredited schools from candidates.
What the badge means for this school. The school has been through this organisation's accreditation. It was judged as a whole: governance, safeguarding, staff, premises, teaching. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
