Global Indian International School Dubai stands on Al Meydan Road next to the Al Manar Islamic Centre and belongs to the Singapore-based Global Schools Group. The curriculum is the Indian CBSE, affiliation number 6630099, and the early years follow the network's own Global Montessori Plus programme. The school publishes its whole subject set for grades 1 to 10: English, Arabic, Islamic studies, a second language chosen from Hindi or French, science, UAE social studies and Indian social studies, mathematics, ICT, music, art, dance, swimming and PE. The campus is divided in two by age. The older grades have a dance studio, a multipurpose hall, a swimming pool, a reading area, a podcast studio, physics, biology and chemistry labs, the GIIS Matinee area, the GCIE innovation and entrepreneurship lab, basketball and badminton courts, a football field and a music room. Extracurricular activities are compulsory: every student must choose at least one activity in each of two categories, and for the sake of competition the school divides students into four houses. The sports category has swimming, basketball, cricket, badminton, karate and chess, with a cricket academy of its own; the creative one has elocution, a Nikon photography club, Model United Nations, and music, dance and debate clubs. The main thing a parent needs to know: the approved fee runs from 22,904 dirhams in Pre-KG to 41,993 in grade 11, but the school publishes a discounted column beside it - from 17,749 to 35,874 dirhams, so the discount reaches five to six thousand a year.

About the fees The annual fee in the 2026-2027 table: the amount approved by Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority is 22,904 dirhams for Pre-KG, 24,178 for KG1, 25,449 for KG2, 26,723 for grade 1, 27,994 for grade 2, 29,268 for grade 3, 30,539 for grade 4, 31,812 for grade 5, 33,085 for grade 6, 34,358 for grade 7, 35,629 for grade 8, 38,174 for grade 9, 41,993 for grade 11 and 40,769 for grade 12. Beside them the school publishes a discount for each grade - from 4,895 to 6,498 dirhams - and with the discount the fee falls to 17,749 dirhams in Pre-KG and 35,874 in grades 11 and 12. It is paid across three terms: in Pre-KG, for example, 5,325, 7,099 and 5,325 dirhams. For every grade the school publishes a separate factsheet with the breakdown.
Admissions The application goes through the form on the website, and there is a campus tour booking and a referral programme. The school names no entrance tests, no grade requirements and no entry age on the pages we read. The school offers scholarships.
Stages and year groups Grades Pre-KG - grade 12. The stages run straight through: early years Pre-KG, KG1 and KG2 on the Global Montessori Plus programme, then grades 1 to 12 on the CBSE curriculum. Global Schools Group (GSG) is a Singapore school group; its own site globalschools.com says «a leading international education organisation with 64 campuses across 11 countries» (Locations page) and «64 International campuses» on the homepage, dates itself from 2002 («From our beginnings in 2002»), and its homepage counters render «0» and «0 k», so the student figures there are not filled in. On the site of its Indian brand GIIS (globalindianschool.org) the same group prints «64 Campuses», «11 Countries», «45k Students», «5k+ Faculty» and the wording of belonging - «We are a proud member of the Global Schools Group (GSG)». Country counts disagree inside the network: the page of the Dubai GIIS campus (globalindianschool.org/dubai/about) says «seven countries throughout Asia» and dates the group with the same phrase, «Since its inception in 2002». The roster disagrees too: the campus list on globalschools.com/locations names only two schools in the UAE - Emirates American School and Glendale International School - while the Dubai GIIS campus, which has its own pages on a site of the same group, is not in that list. Neither ownership nor management is stated anywhere: the schools' relation to the group is described by the word «member».
