H-FARM International School Vicenza is an IB international school for ages 2 to 18 in central Vicenza. It grew out of the Little English School, founded in 2000 in the historic centre; in 2018 the school joined the H-FARM International School network and moved into the old city seminary. Today it is the only school in the Vicenza, Verona and Padua area offering the full IB continuum: the Primary Years Programme from early years, the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The main language of instruction is English; Italian is taught as language and literature or as a foreign language for non-Italians, and Spanish is a third language for all. Most students are Italian, but children of many nationalities attend. According to the school, 100% of students pass the IB Diploma with an average score of 31.8, 86% enter their first-choice university and 73.7% earn a bilingual diploma.

About the fees Fees for the 2026-2027 school year, per year (Tuition Fee): Pre-Nursery, Nursery 1-2 and Reception 10180 EUR, PYP 1 12120 EUR, PYP 2 12290 EUR, PYP 3-5 12640 EUR, MYP 1 12610 EUR, MYP 2-3 13510 EUR, MYP 4-5 14860 EUR, DP 1 15960 EUR, DP 2 16960 EUR. Discounts: 2.5% for paying the year in full, 10% for the second child and 15% for the third.
Admissions Enrolment is possible at any time of year if places are available. From grade 1 of primary to year 3 of middle school there is no entrance exam that could prevent admission; from MYP1 English is assessed to decide whether language support is needed (A2 preferred for MYP1-3 and B1 for MYP4-5). From the first year of high school (MYP4) applicants take English and maths tests, followed by an interview with the head of programme. Steps: getting to know the school and meeting the admissions office or attending an open day, interview, online registration. The admissions policy promises to accept children without discrimination of gender, race, religion or nationality; the admissions committee decides on acceptance and placement. The school helps families with transfer paperwork. Primary children without English or Italian get paid language support; in middle school the language course is included.
Stages and year groups The full IB continuum: the Primary Years Programme - the Early Years Unit (Explorers and Adventurers 2-4, Navigators 4-5, Inventors 5-6; inspired by Reggio Emilia) and PYP 1-5 for ages 6-10; the Middle Years Programme 1-5 for ages 11-16 (MYP 1-3 corresponds to scuola media, 40 lessons a week; MYP 4-5 adds electives such as economics and business and the Personal Project); the Diploma Programme in the last two years (grades 11-12): six subjects, three at higher and three at standard level, Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, CAS. According to the site, the PYP has been offered since 2008, the MYP since 2016 and the DP since 2022. At the end of PYP5 students take the Italian primary school exam (100% have passed since the school was founded); after MYP3 they may take the terza media exam as external candidates at a state school. The Diploma Programme is recognised by the Ministry of Education for entry to Italian universities.

IBInternational Baccalaureate
A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: PYP (ages 3-12), MYP (ages 11-16), DP (ages 16-19). PYP is the primary stage, ages 3 to 12. It is not a set of subjects but a frame for the whole school: learning is built around lines of inquiry, and there are no exams at the end. MYP is the middle stage, ages 11 to 16. There are no exams here either; at the end an optional electronic assessment of pupils' work is possible. DP is the final stage, ages 16 to 19: six subjects plus a compulsory core of theory of knowledge, an extended essay and CAS. The diploma is accepted by universities all over the world, and in a number of countries it counts for admission on the same footing as the local leaving certificate.

It accredits international schools and is a paying association at the same time. It examines governance and ownership, the curriculum, teaching, student wellbeing, staff and premises; a team of volunteers from other CIS accredited schools visits the school. Membership and accreditation are different things here, and schools confuse them more often than anything else.
What the badge means for this school. The school appears in the organisation's directory, but the organisation has granted it no status at all. At the Council of International Schools such an entry is called a Prospect and means a potential client in their system: the school may have made an enquiry, may have been added from outside, or may not know about the entry at all - on the websites of three such schools out of five the organisation is not mentioned once. An entry like this brings a school into the ranking but scores the minimum on that criterion, exactly as membership and candidacy do. It is neither an accreditation nor candidacy, and it says nothing about the quality of the school. The entry stands in the organisation's open directory, and no status stands behind it there.

A group of international schools of the full cycle, day and boarding. The numbers on its site diverge: the "About Nord Anglia" page speaks of 89 schools in 37 countries, the "Our schools" and "Our global network" pages - of 90, the "All schools" page - of "90+"; pupils are more than 100,000 everywhere. Whether the group owns the schools, manages them under contract or gives its methodology under licence is not said on its pages. The year of foundation and the country of registration are not named there.
What this means for this school. The network owns or operates the school. Its accreditation and programme authorisation the school obtains separately, in its own name.

Each early years group has a native English teacher and a bilingual assistant; in primary the homeroom teacher is a native English speaker. An external psychomotor specialist works with preschoolers weekly. The SEN team supports children with mild learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD). All staff speak English and most are also fluent in Italian. The site presents the leadership and teachers by name; university guidance helps with UCAS and Common App applications.

No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
