The Lycée Français International d'Ibiza is the only French school on Ibiza, and it is a small one: the AEFE network credits it with 379 pupils. It stands outside the town, on the Can Llambies property on the San José road, in Sant Jordi. Its status in the network is conventionné and its homologation is continuous: fifteen levels from the youngest kindergarten group to the final year, so there will be no need to move a child to another school either at the middle or at the senior stage. The stages run right through: maternelle, elementary school, collège and lycée. The languages are French as the language of instruction, plus Spanish and Catalan. What sets the school apart from the others in our Spanish sample: it runs not merely an anti-bullying policy but the Finnish KiVa programme, which comes with a method and staff training, and it stands as a separate section in the school's own menu - next to the section on wellbeing, the protocols, the support for special educational needs and careers guidance. There is a canteen of its own and out-of-class activities, and the school publishes its academic results on a page of their own.

Admissions The school admits both French children and foreigners: its internal regulations name as its pupils French children and also Spanish and other foreign children interested in the French language and culture. Enrolment is handled by the admissions office by e-mail and telephone; for future nursery pupils born in 2023 the school held an open day on 6 February. The youngest nursery group takes a child who is already reliably toilet trained. The school does not publish on its site a step-by-step admission procedure, French level requirements, entrance tests or deadlines.
Stages and year groups Grades petite section from age 3 - final year, age 18. The stages run right through: maternelle, elementary school, collège and lycée. All fifteen levels from petite section to terminale are homologated, so a leaver completes the senior stage here. The classes by name and the daily timetable could not be read: the stage pages did not open.

AEFEAgency for French Education Abroad
It runs the network of French schools worldwide, while the accreditation itself, the homologation, is granted by the French education ministry and inspected by French state inspectors. A leaver from a homologated school moves into a school in France without an entrance examination. Homologation is granted stage by stage, so it sometimes covers only part of the year groups.
What the badge means for this school. The school has been through this organisation's accreditation. It was judged as a whole: governance, safeguarding, staff, premises, teaching. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it.

The state programme of France. A school is homologated by the French ministry of education, and a leaver may move into a school in France without entrance tests. Homologation is granted stage by stage, so it sometimes covers only part of the year groups.
What this means for this school. Which year groups of this school are covered by homologation - only the primary ones, or all the way to the final year - is not stated here. The difference matters: it decides whether the school takes a child through to the French baccalaureate or hands them on to another school halfway.
Exams and destinations from the school's official website
The school publishes nothing about where its leavers go: no share going on to university, no exam results, no list of universities.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
