Montessori Lleida International School is a private Montessori school in Lleida, in the Cappont quarter next to the municipal market. It grew not out of a school but out of a project: in 2014, in a small unit in the same quarter and under the name Mamilatte, its founders advised and trained families, children and other centres in Montessori principles, and in time the project became a school with a name of its own. The school is authorised by the Generalitat of Catalonia and, according to its home page, runs stages from nought to twelve years, that is from the first months of life to the end of primary school; the "Què fem?" page, however, lists only three groups - Niu from six months to one year, Comunitat infantil from one to three and Casa d'infants from three to six - and that page appears to be older than the home page. The school calls itself the first centre in Lleida to be one hundred per cent Montessori. The day is long and convenient for a working family: from 8:00 to 17:15, with morning and afternoon care, and at Christmas, Easter week and over the summer the school runs estades, day sessions for those who need to combine work and the holidays. The centre is led by a psychologist specialising in childhood and education, who also provides the psycho-pedagogical support; besides Montessori the school draws on Pikler pedagogy - free movement - and on positive discipline, and the whole team is Pikler Lóczy certified. The project is self-managed: decisions are taken by the whole team. Two things are missing from the site entirely - the fees and the languages of instruction - and the school names neither anywhere.
Key facts
Admissions The school does not set out an admission procedure, deadlines, documents or conditions on its site: its home page has only a form through which a family leaves its own and the child's details to receive information about the school or an invitation to open days. The school says nothing about foreigners or about language as a condition of entry.
Stages and year groups Grades Niu from 6 months - end of primary school, up to age 12. The home page speaks of stages from nought to twelve years: the school accompanies a child from the first months of life to the end of primary school. The "Què fem?" page meanwhile lists only three age groups - Niu from six months to one year, Comunitat infantil from one to three and Casa d'infants from three to six - and says nothing about a Taller stage (6-12), even though the centre's director is described as a Montessori assistant for exactly that Taller. The discrepancy is resolved in favour of the home page: it is newer and names the end of primary school outright. The school day runs from 8:00 to 17:15, with morning and afternoon care.

Accreditations and programmes verified against official registries
MSA · accreditationschool is in an official registryconfirmed by a school document, by membership or by taking part in a networkclaimed by the school, no confirmation, not counted in the scoreGuide to all organisations → What stands behind each entry
MSAMiddle States Association of Colleges and Schools
One of the oldest American accreditations, working since 1887 in more than a hundred countries and linked to the Office of Overseas Schools of the US State Department. It judges the school as an institution across twelve areas, including finances, governance, premises and student support.
What the badge means for this school. The school has been through this organisation's accreditation. It was judged as a whole: governance, safeguarding, staff, premises, teaching. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it.

The pedagogy of Maria Montessori: a child chooses the activity, works at their own pace with special materials, and mixed-age groups are arranged so that older children teach the younger ones. It is used most often in the nursery and primary stages.
What this means for this school. The name Montessori belongs to nobody: any school may call itself a Montessori school, and there is no single body that checks this. There are associations that train teachers and recognise schools, but membership of them is voluntary, and our entry means exactly that the school describes itself this way. This pedagogy has no leaving certificate, so what to look at is what the school finishes with.
Exams and destinations from the school's official website
The school publishes nothing about where its leavers go: no share going on to university, no exam results, no list of universities.
Facilities
The school does not describe its premises on its website.
Summer camp: the school runs its own camp; whether it takes children from outside is not stated on the website
The school runs estades - day sessions at Christmas, in Easter week and over the summer - and says plainly that they exist to make it easier for families to combine work and the holidays. It publishes no dates, no price and no ages for them.

No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
