Pažinimo medis is a private network of kindergartens and schools in Vilnius and Kaunas, founded in 2006 as a single kindergarten; a primary school was added later, and gymnasium grades up to grade 12 followed from September 2019. Its pedagogy blends elements of the Waldorf and humanistic traditions with a Scandinavian play-based approach and storytelling-based teaching ('narrative learning'), which the school calls the first experience of its kind in Lithuania. Instruction is in Lithuanian; separately, a 'Pradinis Cambridge' stream following an international curriculum runs from grade 1. The network has four sites: the gymnasium and senior grades in central Vilnius on K. Kalinausko street, a primary school and kindergarten on Ozo street, another kindergarten on Pievų street, and a branch in Kaunas on Vilties street. The network enrolls more than 380 children in total. The programme emphasizes a STEAM focus, individual support and partnerships with companies for hands-on learning; a nursery for children from 1.5 years opened in 2025 in Kaunas and in Vilnius.

About the fees Monthly fees for the 2026-2027 school year in Vilnius: 765 euros a month for pre-school and primary (grades 0 to 4), 830 euros for the 'Pradinis Cambridge' stream (grade 1), 840 euros for lower secondary (grades 5 to 8), and 895 euros for the gymnasium (grades 9 to 12); over ten payments a year that comes to between 7650 and 8950 euros for the school year. Kaunas is cheaper: 730 euros (grades 0 to 4) and 810 euros (grades 5 to 6), that is between 7300 and 8100 euros a year. The school also offers a discounted single annual payment: from 6935 to 8502.5 euros depending on the level and city. A separate 450-euro enrollment fee is charged before the start of each level.
