Rosary School Halwan has been running in Sharjah since 1976: it began with 75 pupils in 11 classrooms and now holds more than two thousand in 80 classrooms. The curriculum is Cambridge - the Early Years Foundation Stage and Cambridge Primary - and the first thing a parent needs to know is that the school ends at Year 7. After that the paths part by sex: girls may continue at the Rosary branch in Muweilah, which has a girls' secondary section, while boys need another school. Teaching is in English; Arabic and Islamic studies follow the ministry programme, and on top of them the school offers music, French and ICT. The campus is in the centre of Sharjah, on Al Abar Street in the Halwan district next to the city library: two libraries, an auditorium seating more than 600, two ICT laboratories, two science laboratories, a mosque on site, a skills room with a sensory corner and separate play areas for the youngest children. The fee is among the more moderate in the emirate and includes books and uniform.

About the fees The annual fee in UAE dirhams for 2025-2026, including books and uniform: 11,795 for FS2, 13,525 for Years 1 and 2, 13,555 for Years 3 and 4, 13,815 for Year 5, 13,395 for Year 6 (books but no uniform) and 13,465 for Year 7 (books but no uniform). It is paid in three instalments - August, December and March - plus an advance registration payment of 500 dirhams. The fee complies with the fee framework of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA). Transport is charged separately: 4,000 dirhams a year within Sharjah and 4,100 for the Al Zahia and Al Jaddah areas, in two payments.
Admissions Registration is online: the family picks the academic year, the grade and the term, the system shows whether admission is open, and then the child's and parent's details are entered. Placement follows age under Ministry of Education and SPEA rules: KG1/FS2 takes children of 4-5 at 31 August, KG2/Year 1 those of 5-6, and a year per grade thereafter up to Year 7. The documents required are passports and visas for child and sponsor, Emirates IDs, a birth certificate, a medical card, four photographs, a transfer certificate and a report card; from Grade 1 upwards the transfer certificate must be attested - by the education ministry of the respective emirate within the UAE, or through the full chain of attestations from abroad. The school states plainly that it admits children with special educational needs and gifted pupils, and that siblings of current pupils have priority.
Stages and year groups Grades FS2 to Year 7. The stages run right through and end early: FS2 (KG1) from the age of four, then Cambridge Primary up to Year 7. The school groups them into phases: Phase 1 is early years, Phase 2 primary, Phase 3 covers Year 4 to Year 7. Year 7 is the last: the school states plainly that girls continue at the Rosary branch in Muweilah, which has a girls' secondary section, while boys need another school.

Campus: The campus is in the centre of Sharjah, on Al Abar Street in the Halwan district next to the city library. There are two libraries - a separate one for the early years and a primary one with a built-in mini ICT suite and weekly home borrowing. There is a multi-purpose auditorium seating more than 600, two ICT laboratories, two science laboratories, an art room, a skills room with sensory and learning corners for children with additional needs, a mosque with ablution facilities, a canteen that sells no unhealthy food, a play garden and play areas for the early years and primary stages separately.
