An international school at Riga Technical University (RTU) on the Ķīpsala campus, and this is upper secondary only: the school has no elementary or middle grades, only a three-year Cambridge International AS & A Levels programme in English with compulsory Latvian. It grew out of RTU Engineering High School, founded in 2015, and draws on the university's own 155-year history (founded in 1862, the oldest technical university in the Baltics, today teaching more than 14000 students). The programme is STEAM-focused: the school has a chemistry lab equipped for organic synthesis, a physics lab with digital sensors, a virtual-reality lab and 3D printers. Students can live in RTU dormitories five minutes' walk from the teaching building, in single or double rooms, or attend as day students.

About the fees Tuition is billed monthly and runs EUR 1121-1213 depending on subjects chosen; the same annual sum can instead be paid once every three years (EUR 40350), yearly (EUR 13450-13860), or twice a year (EUR 6725-7278). Separately: a one-time enrolment fee of EUR 500, an application fee of EUR 50, and an annual capital fee of EUR 1000-1050. Dormitory housing at RTU costs EUR 220-245 a month plus variable costs (bed linen, fridge, vacuum cleaner rental); gym use costs EUR 8.50 a month or EUR 3 per visit.
Admissions Admission is into grade 10 (the first year of the Cambridge A/AS Level programme), provided that on finishing grade 9 no grade is below 6 out of 10. The process includes an online application with a EUR 50 fee, Cambridge CEM testing at the school, an interview in English, and submission of school records with a notarised translation.

CambridgeCambridge International Education
Part of the University of Cambridge. It allows a school to teach the Cambridge programmes and to enter pupils for the exams. There are four stages and they are authorised separately: primary, lower secondary, IGCSE and A Level.
