St. Anthony's College is a private British co-educational school in Mijas Costa on the Costa del Sol, founded in 1968; the school calls itself the oldest British school on the coast. It teaches children from three to eighteen: a pre-school class and Reception, primary school, middle school from Year 6 to Year 9 with SAT tests at the end, IGCSE in Years 10-11 and A-Level in the Sixth Form. Exams are Pearson: GCSE and IGCSE, international A-Level. Besides the British programme the school offers the Spanish ESO and Bachillerato, for which there is a Spanish section with its own technical director. British programme lessons are in English; Spanish is taught by specialists from the youngest classes, French from primary school, and for those who do not speak English there are English as a foreign language (TEFL) lessons. Every pupil belongs to a tutor group, and the deputy head, as head of pastoral care, is responsible for mentoring and personal needs. Sixth Form pupils take part in a programme of helping the school: reading with younger pupils and helping in lessons. Leavers, the school says, go on to Durham, King's College, Loughborough and Brunel. The school day runs from 09:00 to 16:00. The school does not publish its fees on its site.

PearsonPearson Edexcel, a British exam board
It gives a school approved centre status: that means Pearson exams can be sat in the school itself. What is checked is the premises, the equipment, the secure storage of papers and the presence of trained invigilators.
What the badge means for this school. The school can run Pearson exams on its own premises. The status says nothing about teaching, about results or about the school itself: any school able to run an exam securely holds it. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. Which Pearson qualifications this school is approved for is not stated here.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
