It belongs to Bahçeşehir Koleji, a school that began work in 1994 with its first campus in Bahçeşehir, Istanbul, as a member of Bahçeşehir Uğur Eğitim Kurumları. The school calls itself the pioneer of bilingual education in Turkey: its argument is that a bilingual person holds both languages at mother tongue level, and that regular exposure to a second language from an early age gets a child there. Separate strands cover a personalised teaching model, STEM, the use of artificial intelligence in learning, a careers and guidance centre and the Master 6 model for high school; since 2006 the school has run a line of science and technology high schools, begun in Bahçeşehir.
