A private high school of the IELEV Foundation - Istanbul Erkek Liseliler Educational Foundation - founded on 20 December 1982 by former students, teachers and administrators of Istanbul Male's High School. The foundation opened IELEV Private Elementary School in 1996 and IELEV Private Kindergarten in 2005; the high school was established in the 2014-2015 academic year. The school builds its curriculum on three languages - Turkish, German and English - and describes itself as the only high school in the world to do so. German starts at the age of four in the kindergarten, reaches B1 by grade 8 and C1 at high school level on the Deutsches Sprachdiplom scale. The school has been named an Apple Distinguished School.

About the fees Fees are published for the 2026-2027 academic year by high school stage, from the preparatory year to grade twelve. The range uses the full figures including meals and tax: from 891,603 lira in grade twelve to 1,544,022 lira in the preparatory year and grade nine. The figure covers tuition, breakfast and lunch, activities, trips inside the city, International Baccalaureate exam fees and value added tax at ten per cent. Personal learning materials, stationery, musical instruments and calculators, the school uniform, performance costumes and the school bus are charged separately. A second table gives fees without meals, where grades ten to twelve run from 708,005 to 1,316,675 lira.
Admissions Admission to the high school is based on the LGS examination score, and the school asks for the e-okul page showing it. Final enrollment requires the student's identity card or a notarised copy, the parents' identity cards and copies (the Ministry of National Education requires these to be uploaded to the e-okul system), three passport-size photographs taken within the last six months, a custody certificate if the parents are divorced, and a notarised power of attorney if the person enrolling the child does not hold custody. The Student Registration Agreement must be signed by the parent, otherwise registration cannot be completed.
Stages and year groups IELEV Private High School is a separate upper-secondary institution within IELEV: the kindergarten, primary and middle schools operate on two sites - Cagaloglu in Fatih and 125. Yil in Cekmekoy - while the high school works only on the Cekmekoy site. Admission follows the national LGS examination.

On 5 April 2017, under an agreement signed at the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Istanbul, it was recognised as a German Foreign School (DAS - Deutsche Auslandsschule) and appears on the official KMK list of GIB schools; the school states that 34 schools worldwide hold this status. ZfA authorises the school to award the Deutsches Sprachdiplom I-II language diploma. The school holds no Cambridge centre number and no Cambridge record stands against it in the registries. The school is also listed among the members of the Weltverband Deutscher Auslandsschulen (WDA), the association of the founding bodies of German schools abroad; it does not inspect schools, and the membership carries no accreditation threshold.

The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation.
