İSTEK Acıbadem Okulları opened in Kadıköy in 1989, and the science high school attached to them in 2001. Five schools work at one address on Bağ Sokak: a kindergarten, a primary school, a middle school, an Anatolian high school and a science high school. The building takes up 13,490 square metres and the yard another 4,300: a two-tier conference hall with 523 seats, two dining halls of 300 places each, a canteen for 200, an indoor sports hall, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, laboratories, a library and art workshops. This is the largest campus of the network by staff: more than three hundred teachers are named individually, among them fourteen psychological counsellors. There are almost thirty clubs - from English Scrabble and a Model UN club to robotics, clothing design and art from recycled materials - plus sports teams in swimming, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, athletics, football, folk dance, skiing and gymnastics. The school states neither tuition fees, nor the number of students, nor a list of the universities its graduates enter.

About the fees The school does not publish its fees as text: the “Kayıt Ücretleri” page on the network's site gives, for each campus, only a link to a cloud folder with a document.
Admissions For the kindergarten and the first grade children are taken on a school-readiness test and a getting-to-know-you interview with the child; for grades 2, 3 and 4 - on an interview and a readiness assessment; for the fifth grade - on the İSTEK exam and an interview; for the middle grades - on the school's own assessment, a talk with a psychologist and a foreign-language exam; for the preparatory year and the ninth grade of the Anatolian high school - on a talk with a psychologist, the İSTEK exam and the result of the state LGS exam; for the science high school - on a talk with a psychologist and the LGS result.

IBInternational Baccalaureate
A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.

The schools of the Istanbul foundation İSTEK İstanbul Eğitim ve Kültür Vakfı, established by Bedrettin Dalan in 1985; the first school of the foundation its pages name as the Semiha Şakır high school in Göztepe. The foundation exists separately from the schools and holds, besides them, Yeditepe University, opened in 1996: that is how it describes its own chain - from kindergarten to university and to work. A school, for the foundation, means a separately licensed institution of one stage, and at the high school level it divides them by type as well; its own count is 22 kindergartens, 22 primary schools, 22 middle schools, 20 high schools and 14 Fen high schools, that is, about a hundred institutions, and this is a count by stage on the same campuses rather than by address. The number of kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools is the same - 22 each - while there are two fewer high schools.
