This is a private day school in Gaziemir, in the south of Izmir. It is the Izmir member of the schools of the ITU Development Foundation, the foundation of Istanbul Technical University, which has run four schools in Istanbul on the Ayazaga and Beylerbeyi campuses since 2000. To work outside Istanbul the foundation chose Izmir and since 2014 has done so together with the local industrial group NESAN, which took on the representation and the investment. The Izmir school opened in 2014 with kindergarten children, added primary and middle school in 2015 and the high school in 2016, and has run a full K-12 line since. The foundation's schools are organised as five separate institutions under one management company, and their educational policy is set by an advisory board of university academics. The high school is an Anatolian high school with a preparatory year, and on top of it the school has signed an international dual high school diploma programme with Academica Turkiye, so that graduates also hold the diploma of Academica International Studies in the United States. The school has been accepted into the Global Schools Program, has won the Green Flag environmental award two years running and keeps the European Language Portfolio.

Admissions Admission starts with an online candidate form in the registration section. The school then invites families to a stage-specific event: a workshop and a school-readiness conversation for the kindergarten, and an entrance examination, which doubles as the scholarship examination, plus a level assessment for the primary school, middle school and high school. The school prints the calendar of these dates itself, by age group, and lists the high school preparatory year and grades 9 to 12 in it.
Stages and year groups 50 classes. The campus has 50 classrooms: six in the kindergarten, sixteen in the primary school, sixteen in the middle school and twelve in the high school. Total enrolment is capped at 1,088 places. The kindergarten takes three age groups, 30 to 45 months, 46 to 61 months and 62 to 72 months. The high school runs a preparatory year followed by grades 9 to 12.

An American organisation that allows a school to put the letters AP on a pupil's transcript. The permission is granted course by course and tied to a particular teacher, it has to be renewed every year, and College Board reads the course syllabus before granting it.

Advanced Placement: American advanced courses for the senior years. The exam for a course is set and marked by the College Board, not by the school. A good result is counted by American universities as a first-year course already passed, which saves a student time and money.
What this means for this school. A school does not get to call a course AP automatically: the College Board reads the course syllabus and approves it separately for every subject and every teacher, and the permission has to be renewed each year. Every approved school in the world is listed in the open AP Course Ledger, and this school's entry there stands as a line in the accreditation block above. How many courses a school is approved for, and in which subjects, the ledger does not show in its general listing. AP has no leaving certificate of its own: it sits on top of the school's main programme rather than being a separate system.
National programme
The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation. Campus: The NESAN campus covers 35,000 square metres away from dense housing, with modern architecture and smart-building technology: three structures, a teaching building, an administration building and a sports complex. Indoor climate is handled by a VRF system with its own indoor unit for each independent space. The school has won the Green Flag two years running.
