Arı Educational Institutions began in 1969 with a tutoring centre opened by the mathematics teacher Sıtkı Alp. The schools themselves date from 1984, when Arı Private Anatolian High School opened; Arı Private Primary School followed in 1985, Arı Private Science High School in 1991 and Arı Pre-School in 2000, so a single campus in Çukurambar now carries a child from the age of three to the final year. The schools sit under the Sıtkı Alp Education Foundation, established on 1 October 1996, which also founded Çankaya University on 9 July 1997; programmes are designed together with that university. The school holds the eTwinning School Label and the eSafety School Label.

About the fees The school's tables for the 2026-2027 year run from 376,980 lira for grade 4 to 790,000 lira for grade 9. In the primary school grade 1 costs 728,000 lira, grade 2 costs 674,000, grade 3 costs 582,000 and grade 4 costs 376,980; in the middle school grade 5 costs 746,000 lira, grade 6 costs 694,000, grade 7 costs 611,575 and grade 8 costs 394,298; in the high school grade 9 costs 790,000 lira, grade 10 costs 742,000, grade 11 costs 666,000 and grade 12 costs 423,866. The final year of each stage is priced lower than the rest. Meals are charged separately, at 174,600 lira a year in the primary school and 159,300 lira a year in the middle and high schools. The first three grades have a supervised study programme costing 83,980 lira a year in grade 1 and 61,970 lira a year in grades 2 and 3. Every figure includes VAT and no pre-VAT price is given; there is no fee page for the pre-school.
Admissions The school keeps a separate admission policy for each stage. In the pre-school the policy is split by age, for three, four and five year olds, and runs through an application, the enrolment paperwork and an interview by appointment. Separate policies of the same shape are published for the primary school, the middle school and the two high schools. Admission of pupils coming from abroad is covered by a policy of its own.
Stages and year groups Several separately licensed units share the Çukurambar campus: Arı Pre-School (from the age of three), Arı Private Primary School, Arı Private Middle School, Arı Private Anatolian High School and Arı Private Science High School. The IB registry entry is held by the Anatolian high school, but the PYP and MYP authorizations belong to the younger units of the same school.

Programmes of the University of Cambridge: the school teaches to Cambridge syllabuses and enters its pupils for exams that Cambridge marks itself. IGCSE means exams at around Year 10 or 11, the British counterpart of a lower secondary leaving certificate.
What this means for this school. The papers are marked by Cambridge, not by the school, so a leaver's grade does not depend on how strict their own teachers are with them. To enter pupils for these exams a school has to be registered as a Cambridge exam centre; registration as a centre is permission to run exams rather than accreditation of the school, and it says nothing about the quality of teaching. IGCSE is taken at around Year 10 or 11 and A-Level in the final years, and it is the A-Level results that carry a pupil into British and many other universities.
National programme
The state school programme of the country the school stands in: it is set by that country's ministry of education, which also licenses the school and awards the leaving certificate. That certificate is used for entry to local universities, and abroad it is matched to the local one.
What this means for this school. This entry does not count towards the score, and that is deliberate. Every lawful school in a country works to the national programme, so on its own it tells one school apart from no other - unlike the French, German or Russian programmes, which are carried abroad and confirmed by the register of their organisation.
