Founded in 1988 by the mathematics teacher Yücel Kalınyazgan, YÜCE Schools opened as the first private science high school in Turkey. In 1996 it moved to its campus in the Oran district of Ankara, where it has since run every stage from nursery to grade 12. Alongside the national curriculum the school runs three IB programmes in sequence and a language model accredited by EAQUALS. There is one campus and no group of schools behind it.

About the fees The school's table for the 2026-2027 year runs from 503,100 lira for grades 4 and 8 up to 739,310 lira for grade 9. Preschool costs 641,355 lira and grades 1 and 5 cost 700,700 lira each. The figure covers tuition, learning content and learning materials; a content fee (42,000 lira in grades 11 and 12, 45,000 lira elsewhere) and a materials fee of 25,000 lira for preschool and grades 1 to 5 are listed separately. On instalments the school takes 10 per cent up front and spreads the rest over up to twelve months; paying in full earns a 10 per cent discount and siblings 20 per cent each. Every figure in the table includes VAT, and prices without VAT are not given.
Admissions Admission runs stage by stage and within the places available. Preschool takes children at five into the pre-preparatory group and at six into the preparatory class, with an interview before final enrolment. Grade 1 admits children who have turned seven, under ministry rules; grades 2 to 4 admit when places open, after an interview. Middle school admission runs through the scholarship examination and the school's own entrance examination. The sequence is the same at every stage: application and first interview, getting to know the child, a school visit, fees and paperwork, then final enrolment and orientation.
Stages and year groups Five separately licensed units share the Oran campus: YÜCE Preschool, YÜCE Primary School, YÜCE Middle School, YÜCE Science High School and YÜCE College. Between them they take pupils from the nursery group to grade 12.

Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.

DP is the final stage, ages 16 to 19: six subjects plus a compulsory core of theory of knowledge, an extended essay and CAS. The diploma is accepted by universities all over the world, and in a number of countries it counts for admission on the same footing as the local leaving certificate.
