Ogres tehnikums is a state vocational school that runs programmes in three locations: in Ogre itself, and in the settlements of Ranka and Vecbebri. After finishing the ninth grade of basic education, students enrol here in secondary vocational programmes: forestry and forest machinery, mechanical engineering, woodworking and construction, computer science and electronics, administrative work, hotel and restaurant services, design and art; adult education is offered separately. Since January 2020 the technical school has held IB World School status and runs the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IB CP), the only such programme among schools in the three Baltic countries. IB CP combines at least two Diploma Programme courses (at standard or higher level) with a career-related study block and a mandatory four-part core: a personal and professional skills course, a reflective project on an ethical issue tied to the chosen career field, service learning, and language development. The international office is headed by Sigita Jasiņska. Of the infrastructure, the website names only the library; it publishes neither the total number of students, nor the structure and cost of enrolment in IB CP, nor the institution's own history beyond contact details.
