Sevilla Montessori School is a private international Montessori school right in the centre of Seville, in the Nervión district, fifteen minutes' walk from the historic centre and next to the metro. It began in 2015 as the founder's personal project: there was then no Montessori school in Seville at all, neither in the city nor in the province, and she made one first of all for her own children. A year later, in 2016, the school moved to its present building because there were more families, and it later grew to include primary school. There are now four consecutive stages: Nido from twelve to eighteen months, Comunidad Infantil from eighteen months to three years, Casa de Niños from three to six and Primaria from six to twelve; the school ends at twelve, and a leaver finishes secondary school elsewhere. English here is not a subject but an environment: the school claims full immersion and employs native speakers and bilingual specialists who are also trained in emotional education and positive discipline - and it notes separately that it knows how to fit children of any culture into its environments without forgetting Spanish. Of its documents the school publishes a child protection policy as a separate file, along with the school calendar. The food is organic. Extracurricular activities are a small set: sport at the Antonio Puerta sports centre, music, dance, drama, yoga and French. It is approved by the Junta de Andalucía as a foreign private educational centre, code 41022841; its lead guides are certified by AMI or The American Montessori Society, and the school belongs to the Spanish Montessori Association and the American association for positive discipline. What is worth knowing in advance about the accreditation: on the same date the English and Spanish versions of the site say different things - the English that the MSA accreditation process is under way, the Spanish that the school is already accredited - and this card records the lesser of the two.

About the fees The fee is monthly, in ten payments across the school year, and depends on the stage and the length of the day. Nido and Comunidad Infantil have three options: 393 euros for a day from 9:00 to 13:00 with one snack, 527 euros for a day until 14:00 with a snack and lunch, and 617 euros for an extended day from 8:30 to 15:30 with two snacks and lunch, until 14:00 on Fridays. Casa de Niños is 617 euros a month for a day from 8:30 to 15:30 with two snacks and lunch, and Primaria is 650 euros. That works out at 3930 to 6500 euros a year. All options include the newsletter and photographs on the platform and the school for families. The enrolment fee is not included in these sums, and the school does not publish its size. Extras: the morning classroom from 8:00 to 9:00 costs 6 euros a day or 22 euros for a full month, lunch from 13:00 to 14:00 costs 8 euros, and the extended day with lunch from 13:00 to 15:30 costs 16 euros. The late group from 15:30 to 17:00 (from 14:00 on Fridays) costs 35 euros a month. The school invites families to ask the admissions team about grants and tax deductions.
Admissions The school admits foreign pupils and says so itself: it has taught children from Japan, Mexico, Australia, the USA, Colombia, France, Morocco, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Argentina and China, and its native English-speaking and bilingual staff, it says, know how to fit a child of any culture into the environment. The school names no special requirements for foreigners, such as Spanish or documents. Admission has three stages. The interest stage is open throughout the school year: the family writes or calls, the school replies within three days and sends a form and the educational programme. The pre-registration stage is an open day with a tour, an introduction to the team and an explanation of the method and fees; the management and the guides of each environment then review applications against admission criteria, to keep each environment workable. The registration stage is a call and an email with documents for an individual meeting; families not offered a place are told why and offered the waiting list.
Stages and year groups Grades Nido from 12 months - Primaria, up to age 12. Four consecutive stages: Nido from twelve to eighteen months, Comunidad Infantil from eighteen months to three years, Casa de Niños from three to six and Primaria from six to twelve. The school ends at twelve: it has no secondary stage, and while the school itself says the Montessori method was made to continue up to high school and university, it has no stages of its own above primary as yet. The school day depends on the stage and the option chosen: in Nido and Comunidad Infantil from 9:00-13:00 up to 8:30-15:30, in Casa de Niños and Primaria from 8:30 to 15:30, until 14:00 on Fridays. The morning classroom opens at 8:00.

MSAMiddle States Association of Colleges and Schools
One of the oldest American accreditations, working since 1887 in more than a hundred countries and linked to the Office of Overseas Schools of the US State Department. It judges the school as an institution across twelve areas, including finances, governance, premises and student support.
What the badge means for this school. The school is a candidate for accreditation by this organisation: the route has been started but not completed. Candidacy speaks of an application made and a file accepted for consideration, not of the outcome of an inspection, and the organisations themselves usually require schools to say that it does not guarantee accreditation. The candidacy is confirmed in the organisation's open directory.

The pedagogy of Maria Montessori: a child chooses the activity, works at their own pace with special materials, and mixed-age groups are arranged so that older children teach the younger ones. It is used most often in the nursery and primary stages.
What this means for this school. The name Montessori belongs to nobody: any school may call itself a Montessori school, and there is no single body that checks this. There are associations that train teachers and recognise schools, but membership of them is voluntary, and our entry means exactly that the school describes itself this way. This pedagogy has no leaving certificate, so what to look at is what the school finishes with.

The school publishes nothing about where its leavers go: no share going on to university, no exam results, no list of universities.

Campus: A building in the Nervión district, which the school moved into in 2016 for larger and more welcoming premises; the school stresses how easy it is to reach - a cycle lane, the metro three hundred metres away, bus routes, fifteen minutes' walk to the city centre. The environments are prepared by age and, as the school writes, work as teaching material in their own right. Food is cooked on site and organic: lunch and snacks are included in most fee options. Sport takes place at the municipal Antonio Puerta sports centre; the school names no sports hall of its own.

Reviews
No reviews yet. The community rating counts towards the score once a school has five verified reviews - until then we do not show a zero, so as not to mislead.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 8 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
